What made you start playing FM?

As the title says "What made you start playing FM?".

My reason is in 2008 I broke my right leg and 1month down the line I was bored out of my mind so I looked around on the internet and saw FM09 so it was a time kill.

My best friend's brother was playing 05... and I was watching over his shoulder, and thought it looked good, when he got 08 he said i could borrow 05... then i spent the whole of my christmas holidays playing 05... and hooked ever since...
 
i got the demo of championship manager 03/04 demo through my dads pc magazine, installed it and never stopped ever since
 
My mate was completely addicted to FM09 so I decided to invest and see what it was like :)
 
Because before the split i was addicted to CM, brought both and this was far and above Champ.
 
Been a Fifa fan ever since I was a child and that progressed to management games when my cousin got an edition of LMA.

When I got my first PC I discovered FM was apparently the best of its type, which it certainly is.
 
My cousin gave me cm99/00 for free and i really liked it and then he gave me fm05 for free and ive been hooked ever since. It took me to fm10 year to finally win a league :)
 
Got FM2006 from my uncle, as he didn't like it. Well, I loved it, and have had every game since then now! :D
 
Had CM04 demo free in a cereal box, think it was Frosties XD Then when CM05 came out, was about to get it, then decided to get FM05.

I got FM09 for Christmas 09 and I dunno why, the back of the case was hardly appealing, so I don't have a clue why I got it
 
Borrowed the first football manager off someone and have been obsessed ever since.
 
My cousin who is now 22 had it when Hull were in League 2. He showed me how he got Hull into the Premier League, and I got FM06 when it came out. Played FM ever since :D
 
I was into LMA manager for console but they stopped it, then i got my own laptop.
 
I'm not sure if this is the correct place where to start this thread... ¿?

On topic: I was looking for some football club management videogame back in 2006, and I found some information and reviews about a game called Football Manager 2006. It looked good for me, tried this year version, and I'm totally addicted to it since (I've played all of them since that one but 2009 and 2011 version).
 
got the cm97/98 demo with a gaming magazine, and liked it so got the full game, and have had every cm/fm since! :D
 
Bored after FIFA 11's Career Mode was not realistic enough for me, I looked around. Saw Football Manager 2011 and the review seems to be good. So I got it and haven't regretted since :D
 
Used to love LMA Manager and when they stopped making I seen FM and got it now
I'm hooked
