What made you start playing FM?

Wanted to see, what kind of a game FM is and got addicted to it.
 
Championship manager 01/02 demo free in a cereal box and ever since I've loved Championship manager and now FM
 
I played cm93 on the amiga and loved it got all the cm's upto the split and ive had all the fm's since then

LMA when i was like 9, after i saw a manger game of my dads where he had rottheram in europe with players like ginola!;) i wanted to play too lol:)
 
they stopped making LMA manager, which i used to play night and day on my playstation, so i needed my fix, and switched to FM 08. Never looked back
 
my grandad got 05 when he bought his computer. when ever me and my cousin went round we always played on it.
 
i remember my brother woulds always buy CM and then FM and still does. As a young naive adolescent child I thought it was a dumb game and it was pointless because you couldn't control the players yourself like in fifa. Then one day I was watching my brother play FM09 and thought I would actually try it and after getting past the fairly steep learning curve I was permanently hooked to the series and never looked back since :)
 
Heard about the realism, the control you have over the control of the squad....whole nine yards. Hooked ever since. More enjoyable the FIFA, CM etc
 
CM03/04 was going around the school yard in year 10 and have had every FM/CM since.... its just tooo addictive!!
 
my best mate had CM 97/98 and i played it a few times around his - leading me to borrowing his game (because you didn't need the disc to load/save)

he was trying CM out to compare it to Premier Manager series (which we were both fond of at the time) it didn't take either of us long to realise we had struck gold

Oddly my mate learned to play Guitar and it is by far his biggest hobby these days - he no longer plays football management sims at all, i think the last CM he bought was 99/00 (the blue one) - i always bang on to him that he should buy the latest version of FM.... He hasn't ever played an FM game, he has no idea what he's missing
 
I wanted a change up in teh games I played, checked steam for different demo & found FM2010.
 
Last year i was playing some online manager games such as alprimerpalo, hattrick, etc.. then i was wanting some manager game with at least graphic simulation , and then i found FM <)
