What specs do you need to run the 3D match engine at high quality smoothly?

To be honest, not much of a computer. The 3D engine isnt particularly graphically intensive.

i7 pc's will help. not sure of amds though ?

Practically any brand new system will run the 3d engine to a decent standard. Anything with a dedicated graphics card should ahndle the 3d settings on high settings fairly easily.
