creating tactics in a different approach...

set a base formation - 4-5-1
WB (A/S) - CB (S) - BPD (D) - WB (A/S)
DM (D)
CM (D/S) - CM (S / A)
WING ( A) WING (S)
CF ( A)

I'm using BORO
I have selected players for each position and created individual instructions. Took me a while to get it set up. And everytime I sign a new player, I got to add him in.

Eg. If Hines plays at LB, he will play as a Limited Full Back and pass short
If Friend plays at LB, he will play as a Complete Wing Back and Cross center

If Butterfield plays CM (D/S), he will play as a DLP (S) and pass short
If Butterfield plays CM (S/A), he will play as AP ( A) and tries more direct passes
And
If Varga plays DM, he will play as a HB and tackle hard, press more
If Whitehead plays DM, he will play as a Regista and tries more direct passes

I select my starting lineup depending on opposition.

Is tis working? I'm not sure, I have yet to complete a full season.
But i do enjoy it better this way.
I dont expect Whitehead to play HB the same way I expect from Varga, as its not his strong points.
 
Created my own tactic with Man Utd that has started really well only a couple of games in but 5-0 win with 71% possesion in the community shield then a 2-0 away win at City with 45% possession

1GK - De Gea
2CB Alternating between Jones, Ferdinand, Evan and Vidic
2WB - Rafael, although Smalling scored a screamer against City and Evra is still doing well although I am in a hunt for a new LWB any ideas?
3CM - 2Deep lying playmakers - Carrick and Dembele 1BBM Fellaini
1AM - Kagawa set as advanced playmaker although might get a new player next season in this position although am training Januzai to play here.
2ST - Rooney as f9 and Van Persie as Poacher

Set tactics to Control and Fluid - Instructions as retain pressure, hassle opponents, push higher up and higher tempo.
I have given my AP and F9 the option to roam and have got my wing backs speeding up the wings.
Both my DP are playing more direct and my BBM in shorter.

Let me know what you think.
 
Why do you play your striker on the righthand sode and not through the middle?? Whats the benift of doing that??

What's up guy's...listen, I've been use a kinda 4132 tac and it was working fine till fm 2014 and i always use a very hard fluid system on attack mental, but now, I manager to reach the top of the league at first rounds but after that I star to drop till 12? place, frustrating...Can u guys help me this...? Many thks
 
Using a 4-2-2-2 which someone recommended on here. It's fantastic and works with smaller teams. My single player save, i'm using Exeter City and currently top of the league with a below average team and no funds.

I also started using it into the second season on a network game with Watford, first season i was saved from relegation by a point using various tactics but struggled. This season, we have gone into February and i'm top of the league by 7 points.

If anyone is interested in trying it, i highly recommend it for all teams.

wich 4 2 2 2 is it ?
 
I'm using this very defensive deep 4-2-3-1 (Counter against smaller/equal teams, Defensive against very strong teams). Expected to avoid relegation, 1st in the league with the best defense so far.
The focus is on very fast players (especially wingbacks/IF's) and strong/good in the air strikers.

Generally, 3-5-2 with a flat midfield 5 with an Advanced Playmaker running at the opposition from deep; Advanced Forward and False-9 up-top. Played that way at West Brom just now, though, and was 0-2 down at half-time. Switched to 4-4-1-1 and won the match 3-2 with an injury time winner! Scored by an academy regen, a Brazilian called Jorginho playing as Shadow Striker behind a Deep-Lying Forward - he also scored our first to begin the fightback.

I also have a new system this season of 4-2DM-1-2-1 which I use against the better teams - such as this 1-0 win against Man City:

Luke Shaw was attacking from left-back, with Lulic playing as Inside Forward_Support and cutting inside ahead of him to make space for the overlap. On the right, it's a conventional Full-Back_Support behind Winger_Attack. The two DMs are Ball-Winning Midfielder_Defend (Pugliese) and Deep-Lying Playmaker_Support (Saville); Stangoni is an Advanced Playmaker_Attack with excellent dribbling skills. He's been European Footballer of the Year 3 out of the last 4 seasons and scored the winner in this one. Complete Forward_Support up-front.

At 0-0 around the hour mark, I replaced Lulic with Francisco Javier Salinas - a conventional byline hunting left-winger with instructions to attack and get crosses in, reverting Luke Shaw to support duties. Instant impact: 64mins - Salinas puts in a cross from the left that is headed away but picked up in midfield by Saville; back to Salinas who plays it square into the area for Stangoni to control under pressure and hook left-footed into the far corner beyond the dive of City's keeper. They couldn't break us down after that, especially after I replaced the tiring Saville with Shane Westley (another regen who is now an England regular) around 77 minutes.

City played 4-4-2 but the formation I played here is most effective against 4-2-3-1, because it crowds out the opposition's attacking midfielders - especially the No.10. I've got two matches coming up now against Chelsea (my domestic nemesis!) in the Capital One and then the Premier League, so I might do a post about those matches as an analysis of this formation...

I will alter it in future, I think, to put the Ball-Winning Midfielder on the left to cover for the more attacking Shaw and possibly look to put a Regista in the other DM role, because judging by the in-game description, that role might offer slightly more going forward than the DLP without taking too much away from the defensive side. That might require a new signing though, because I don't think any of my current crop can play Regista.
