What would you do?

Just starting pre-season with some players wanting improved contracts. All went smooth until Hugo Lloris wants his wage improved for 80k pw to 170k pw, making him by some 80k the highest paid player at my club. (Spurs)
Now, we're not skint but 170k pw?

My question is this, there is another keeper, Steve Mandanda, he is almost a carbon copy of Lloris.
a) Do I pay Lloris the money he wants?
b) Sell Lloris and go after Mandanda?
c) Tell Lloris to get stuffed, 'you still have 3 years left on your contract'

I can get Mandanda for 14 Mill and pay him what I pay Lloris now.
I can likely get 20+ Mill for Lloris and save on wages.

I always, always tell my players they still hav time left on their contract and in 95 % of the cases, it works.

I'd probably risk it and tell Lloris that he still has 3 years left on his contract, has worked in the past for me, in fact I don't remember it ever going wrong.

Looking at the stats even though they are similar, Lloris is definitely the better keeper, and in my previous saves he always seems to have the most clean sheets in the league.
