Whats a regen?

Iv not had the game that long and I keep hearing about regens or whatever there called, could someone tell me what they are please.

You know they're a regen because they'll have a computer generated picture and not a real one, or a blank face

CA is current ability. That's how good a player is right now. There is also PA, Potential Ability which is how good the player could be - current ability can't be greater than potential ability obviously.

also if you look at their career history it wont date back to the 08/09 season..it would be like 09/10 etc
