Whats the difference between World footballer of the year and world player of the year?

I'm pretty sure footballer is ballon d'Or, player is fifpro, since FIFA's and France Football's have merged now.

You have French Football and FIFA award, if Im not wrong thats world footballer, and FIFpro, as Velveti said, Ballon D'or ... for best player... so difference is in who gives award

Is it not World Player of the Year is the person that has played best on the pitch.. so like Messi hehe.

Where as World footballer of the year is it to how much they have given to the sport also or something? Like helping charitys out or...
