Whats wrong with my team?

I am currently managing chelsea and i am halfway through the season and nearing the end of the january transfer window. I use a 4-2-4 tactic. I got terry and carvalho as cb, ashley cole and bosingwa as fullbacks, lampard and essien as cm, joe cole and zhirkov in wings and drogba and welliton upfront. The problem is i struggle to in every match. i always get kicked by big teams and matched by teams which i am supposed to beat comfortably. its frustrating to see small team matching in every aspect in shots, possesino etc. they always have possesion near 60 and ive got only 40 and they always get shots higher than mean and every goal i concede are stupid. caused by careless mistakes in defence. any help?

What? Just change tactics.

Not necessarily change your tactics but you may need to make small tweaks, you have become predictable to the AI
