When to sell a player?

Im playing with arsenal in season 20/21, i was wondering when i should sell a player for example i have wilshere who is 28 and performing at a decent level still his value is 23m he is a starter but i do have players that can fill his spot do i sell him at this age while he is at his best or just leave it let him stay and retire or eventually on a leave on a free

I personally never sell a first team starter. Doesn't matter what age he is, if he's good enough he'll play!. Doesn't matter how much I might get for him, he's in my first team and I can't be sure I'll get another player who plays as consistently and fit into my systems.

If you find that you're using them as a rotation option and getting good bids, it's worth thinking about.
But it's the back up players and the guys who just haven't impressed me that I sell.
