sorry ando & fatshit, but there is members of this site who do post solely to get to a higher number of posts. For example, there was a thread on here last night - not sure if you saw it or not - that was titled 'getting to 100'. It was just some guy posting stuff like 'aajjaja' and 'fdfdssa' over and over to get him to 100 posts. I know that's a more obscure way of going about it but it's a good example.

That was the only thing sustaining his 'reputation' on the site. It's not like he has a colourful name. He keeps asking sean for a red name.He's not,but he wont say so because he knows we are all thinking it. As your his biggest fan maybe you should give him some words of comfort at this festive time?

Fully agree with the post count removal, some people thought it made them greater than others.

I think their is a lot of paranoia about post counts. Personally i don't think people ever thought less of people with less posts, posted just to get more posts or thought having more posts made you better than other people.
I can easily deal with the post counts being removed but it is a bit insulting that people think other people are that sad.

The reason why I think this is bad is because you don't know who is who. If I was to change my profile and name now people would wonder who I was. Post counts provided you with that last piece of info needed. For example everybody always knew who DC was whatever his pic or name. Is Bobby Zamora Jack Fulham by the way?
