yeah i guess that is true. I'm confused if athletico madrid don't have an academy then where do their youth players like torres come from.oO)
Atlético have an academy. They famously shut it down at some point, which meant they lost none other than Raúl to Real Madrid, where he became a club legend and one of the most prolific goalscorers of all time.

OP: It has to be Barcelona, although many have very good academies. Obviously Real Madrid but also Bilbao, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla etc.

The list of Barcelona cantera alumni is mindboggling.. it's so consistently producing top, top quality players at an alarmingly frequent rate.

Best academy: Barca
Best Youth Players: Atleti

I voted At. Madrid... which I realised after was a stupid decision. I was thinking of Torres, Aguero etc., but they've hardly had anyone else. Barca's is a bit special. Real Madrid's has never been that good, mainly because they spend so much on established players.

Nobody else :S

Camacho
Borja
De Gea
Shall I go on?

Atheltico Bilbao's is pretty good, but it's gotta be Barca's.

Thing is, it's a recent thing with Atlético, traditionally the best prospects have always gone through Real Madrid, so it's hard to pull up a list of home-grown Atleti players, even though they've brought through some cracking players recently.

XD

your having a laugh mate Real Madrid have never built up world class players

eh lets see

Iker Casillas
Guti
Hierro
Camacho
Arbeloa
De La Red
Fernando Morientes
Cendo
Nacho
Emilo Butragueno

the list can go on & on & on

have you not read the other posts?

the run their entire team on products of their acadmey as the board impose a rule of using only basque players, (a small seperatist region of northern spain) so nearly every single one of their players is home grown. they occasionally vernture into the transfer market, spending very little and only on basque palyers.

depsite these restrictions they have never been relegated from spains top flight.

The basque reigon also includes a small part of Western France.

i would question whether de la red and arbeloa are world class, and guti has certainly never been electric for spain. morientes was purchased, not produced

They may not be now,but Villarreal have produced over the years..

defo barcelona for me

xavi came from the youths Pep Guardiola another one fabregas who now at arsenal Sergi Busquets Carles Puyol Andres Iniesta Lionel Messi Gerard Pique Victor Valdes Oier Olazabal Thiago

long list but some fantastic house hold names

Would have voted for Barca... they've produced 2 of the top 5 players in the world at present (Xavi + Iniesta) and they've undoubtedly had a hand in Messi's development even though they signed him at 13. There's also Pique and Fabregas that could be included to some extent. Bojan is gonna be ****** brilliant also.

Don't their kids' teams play in a mini Nou Camp? Went to Barcelona a few years back and I'm sure their kids had their own stadium.

the reseve and youth teams both ahve their own stadiums next to the camp nou. they are both around 15,000 capacity from memory

Bojan isnt good

Don't see how you can say that. He might not have had such a great season as his debut one, but he's still a quality player in the making.

I voted Barca. The volume of talent they've put out is struly staggering.

Barcelona has the best youth academy in the world

just some names that came out from there: Lionel Messi, Pedro, Sergio busquets, Victor Valdes, Bojan....etc, etc

Sporting Cp ?
Ronaldo, Figo, Quaresma, Nani, Simao

Barca

Just Becuase the players they Have brought Up

Bojan...Messi..Pedro...

and didn't messi sign from River?
Actually, I think it was Newell's Old Boys that Messi signed from.

Anyway, got to go for Athletic Bilbao on this one, considering that most of their players [who are good, btw] came from their own facilities. Barca also have amazing youth facilities too.

Barcelona, no wonder.
Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Bojan are players who are immense and they are from Barcelona Academy.
Also, Athl. Bilbao had some good players.

IIRC, Hierro was bought off someone like Valladolid. As mentioned, Morientes was bought. Ruben De La Red hasn't played football for about two years now.

Arbeloa also sounds fishy to me. I could've sworn he was bought as a youngster too.
