Who is your favourite ever player?

Matthew Le Tissier.

As well as he was class player, I like his loyalty for a club, even refusing going to bigger clubes.

P.S.: ****, I forgot I already posted here :p
Anyway, there are my reasons ^^

Of all time - Pele.

That I've seen play - Zidane/Original Ronaldo (R9)

My idol is Pique and favourite ever idol is Makelele or Maldini. best defensive players the world has ever seen.

toss up between Cantona and Zidane for me think Cantona just edges it :)

my fav playa though was Sheff Weds legend chris waddle from the waddle n hoddle yrs

It's got to be Paul Scholes, the guy is such a legend.

I love that long range drilled pass he can do, never seen anyone else pass like it.

He tackles like a lorry on ice, when you see him bearing down on a player you just think 'Oh here we go' and brace yourself for impact, brilliant.

Such awesome technique, remember the volley against Villa a couple of seasons ago?

And, perhaps most importantly, his personality. I've never seen an article about his private life despite him being one of the most high-profile players in England over the past 10-15 years, never complains, utterly loyal, completely reserved, I heard that he doesn't even have an agent, just sorts his contract out himself!

In conclusion, what a guy, and that's why he is my favourite player.

Zinedine Zidane. He could create something out of nothing was an absolute magician. I have to say.. over the coming years I'm gonna have to say Lionel Messi. He's an absolute genius and he still has over 15years left in him yet.

totaly agree scholes n giggs are the ultimate role models for any young playas

Gheorghe Hagi - probably the best midfielder ever, owned Maradona
Romania 3 - 2 Argentina 1994 world cup :P

Jorg "The Hammer" Albertz is my favourite ever. Such a class act considering he done some serious smoking and was a big lad. He could dribble and everything. His shooting skill though was phenomenal.

Also his Scottish slang in his German accent when he talked, mainly about the ball "Hitting Ma Heid" :)

Of all time has got to be Pele. Idolised him from a young age and always used to pretend to be him when playing football in the park and in Sunday Leagues etc. His finishing was just on another level to everyone else ever, and the fact he scored well over 1000 competitive goals in his career is phenomenal. He could head, use both feet, was quick, strong, powerful, skilful just the complete package. Amazing player. Greatest striker of all time.

That I've ever seen play it's between Zinedine Zidane or the Brazilian Ronaldo.

Zidane because he was a magician. He could do everything with the ball at his feet, and although he was never the quickest, he was able to leave players for dead and go past them like they weren't even there. Also, his bald patch was inconic. Then he headbutted Materazzi and I loved him even more

Ronaldo, because just like Pele, he was/is the complete striker. He could do everything. Score with his head, either foot, he was quick, strong, powerful, skilful and just the complete striker. He made the Number 9 shirt iconic for a goalscorer. Number 9's are now expected to score incredible amounts of goals due to this man. Greatest striker in modern football without a doubt. Shame injuries got the best of him in the end.

Bergkamp. Simply the best technique this world has ever seen.

I was going for DB10 too. Him, Thierry Henry and Robert Pires back in the early naughties..

How have i not posted on this thread!!

Paul Devlin all the way...

In his first spell at Blues i loved him, i based my entire game on him when i was young in 96. When he joined Sheff Utd in 98 i was gutted, still followed how well he was doing at Sheff Utd and a loan spell at Notts County.

However in 2002 to my absolute delight we loaned him from Sheff Utd in our promotion season to provide cover, however he proved to be a main stay in the side being one of the heroes in the final against Norwich in Cardiff.
I fully expected him to leave us after promotion but he didn't, playing Premier league football and coping well with it, which i was chuffed with. I would argue with anyone that criticised him, due to bias probably XD

A local lad who worked hard and played for the shirt. A small player although had a big heart and didn't shirk from a battle. Although we have had some great players in recent times, he will always be my all time favorite player.

3 minutes 30 seconds, coolness personified
