Why can't I cancel friendlies?

I decided to start a new game on the latest patch and one of the first things I always do is cancel the default friendlies and arrange my own but I can't do this anymore.

Is this a bug or a deliberate change by the developers?

PS the friendlies are not with affiliates, I checked.

Have you set your assistant to arrange your friendlies in the team policy section. If not it is probably a bug.

This is the default friendlies after starting a new game that I can't cancel. The assistant arranging has nothing do do with that.

Also, I have just noticed that you have to cancel one friendly, press continue, cancel another, continue and so on. What kind of ridiculous stupidity is that?
