Why did the players dissapear?

why the players who are released free at the end of the season,just dissapear in 6 months if they don't sign a contract with some team...would you tell me how to fix that bug?
 
If you mean youngsters they just retire mate.

I dont mean only youngsters.....I mean....everyone who is free released from any club dissapears....if not sign with some other club in 6 months.....do you mean that everybody retires so early ???
 
Havent noticed mate. Perhaps because they are not good enough.
 
Not all players do this - retire. Signed a couple of players who have been out of football for around 2/3 years before. (H) ;)S
 
I've noticed this aswell to be honest. I remember playing once on the Free Agents Database and John Terry refused to sign for anyone but Chelsea, but they didn't offer him a contract, and then suddenly he just disappeared when I went to re bid for him in Jan, he was gone from the game.. very strange.
 
I have signed a lot of players in the beginning who havent play football for years too but....it's in the beginning..but after the first season the players who are out of contract start to dissapear...I noticed that in FM 09 too...

and I play only with large database so.....

It depends on the player, if you release a player, he may retire if not picked up immediately or may wait years to be given a chance to come back. DMF as for your John Terry thing, maybe he just retired, I mean it's very unlikely he'd accept a contract at anyone else anyway.

I remember on the free player databses where everyone was released, lts of world class players retire after 6 month - 1 year beause they haven't signed for a club yet, it's a bit weird but it's just how the game works. Also a lot of youngsters retire if released by your youth squad.
 
but doesn't anybody know how to edit the database to disable this dissapearing?! it looks a bit idiotic dont you think ;)
