Hi

i am currently Shrewsbury town and sitting 15th in the championship in my 2nd season I have been offered interviews by the clubs like Cardiff and Southampton but never offered the job

i do not understand why I am not being offered the job

thanks in advance

Martyn

No idea, I've been offered interviews for jobs out of the blue and then been offered, but turned down the job afterwards.(after 2 Belgian titles with a side I brought through from the third division.) Mainly from underperforming French clubs, Including twice from Lille.

Think you have to agree to what they want like if they want you to play attacking football or signing youth players i was offered a interview earlier from blackburn i agreed to everything they wanted and didn't get offered the job not that i wanted it mind

I asked them to upgrade youth facilities but they rejected that offer and still offered me the job, at which point I turned them down. I had previously been knocking back interview offers so maybe that had something to do with it as the game knew I wasn't looking to jump to anyone and it meant something if I went to an interview.

A lot depends on your reputation vs the club's reputation. I've been able to get jobs that are a step up, because I agree to a few board philosophies and tell them I can work with smaller budgets than what they offer.
