Why does away form differ so much to home form?

Okay, so i'm currently at the start of my 3rd season with Borussia Dortmund.
1st season, we won Bundesliga, 2nd season came 2nd and got to the quater finals of the champions league.

A thing i noticed is that my away form is so much poorer than my home form? Why?!?! How can i overcome this? I have such a quality team (lucas moura, damiao, lavezzi, gotze etc) and we just seem to struggle so much away from home..

Any tips guys?

Presume they are trying to make it more realistic
man city for example at home have won every game except yesterday but away they`ve lost 4 and drawn 4.
arsenal as well lost 2 at home but 7 away.
the home crowd has a big effect on a team, either let your team gel a bit or try a new formation with a few more players in midfield to try and get a win instead of hammering a team like you would at home.

Simple answer: It's just the way it is
In real life, you almost never see a team achieving the same amount of goals and wins away, as they do at home. I've never understood the psychology in this, just accepted it as a fact.

To adapt to this, I use different home and away tactics/formations. The controlling/attacking tactics that I mainly use in home games, are likely to bite me in the **s when playing away. So I use more defensive/counterattacking tactics/formations in away games. Only when beeing a huuuge favourite, do I use the "home tactics" away from home.

Use the tactics screen effectively, and make different preset tactics for the players to train every day. Stick with two or three formations/tactics until the players know both defensive and attacking tactics fluently.
I know some people use basically just one set of tactics, and change settings depending on the opponent etc. Don't do this!
Changing settings too much in preset tactics just confuses the players (they are simple people, I guess,lol...) When you're struggling in a match, change completely, into preset tactics that the players knows well. In most cases this is mutch more effective.
