I usually hire a good physio but one time I forgot that his contract has run out. I played 3 seasons without a physio and it doesn't seem to affect anything.

So my question is,

1. What good is a physio? Well, other than informing you of injuries length and giving injection options. I really don't see any benefit. Has physios been proven to do anything?
2. Does the number of physio you have affect anything?

As far as I know, if you have more physios injury time is usually reduced.

I could be wrong though :)

interesting post , would hate to think that not having any physio doesnt have any effect on players recovery

this is interesting :/ I would like to know to, as in second season with chelsea, and trying to make them a a profit, cutting out a load of physio may help me, it seems pointless that they would do nothing though, surely they must lower injury time or something.

well...because we should prepare for the worst?

Pretty sure they lower injury time although I haven't tested it or anything.

Well i generally have the one physio, and that helps me alot, the injury time of my players is normally reduced a little and I also get a better time scale of how long they'll be injured for.

Then again, i'm managing at the Lower Leagues so a great physio probably helps more as the players don't have as high natural fitness

well it seems no one that has posted knows why, so 1 would be enough it seems :/ seems a bit strange that we wouldnt need them though, but cant find a reason to keep them :/ o well I going to keep one and get rid of the rest!

AFAIK it gives you treatment options. Without them you can't give injections (Never used myself), send to specialist (always use if available) or treatment by physio.

yeah, i agree with that
but is there a relation between a number of physio and the duration of injury?

not sure there is a relation between the number of physios and the duration of the injury but i do know that if you have 0 or very poor physios then they dont give you an accurate duration of the injury compared to a great physio

so the **** physio will say player is out between 1 and 4 weeks
but the good one will say the player will be out for 10days

Well put. this.

i agree. I think the only difference is the accuracy of the information they´ll give u

I was told that go by their discipline rating to reduce injuries is best attribute for pysio. A higher discipline rating means injury time for players is reduced

Okay, I think everyone already knows that having Physios gives out more specific injury length and treatment options. That's not very useful IMO but perhaps can help in certain situations.

So the remaining question would be,

1. Do they actually do anything to reduce injury length?
2. Does having more great physios equals even less injury length?

How does one go on to prove this anyway? It's so strange that no one seems to know the answer. SI should clarify this issue.
