Why the need to talk to press about opposing coaches?

1) its not about bettering your relations at all 
its there for you to use to play mind games with key players and managers
2) its there to build up relationships with players you want to buy in the future, making you their favored personnel is a good way for them to join you
3) having a good relationship with a fellow manager only allows him to accept certain bids for players he would normally not accept or consider.. its pretty pointless as while trying to "butter" him up, your players become agitated and state things like "feels you should not be praising other managers" etc etc...
