Hey guys,

I like football manager very much..

We can't find one tactic that dominate all games and win everytime every place..

Why is that? We are playing against a computer.. so normally it's possible to crack the system and build the perfect tactics.. oke we should need 4-5 different tactics because some don't work in rain ore on big field ore against counter teams.. but why we never had a test that check all of that?

Ore you think it isn't possible?

Such a tactic would most likely be illogical in its methods, it would also render the game a pointless investment, as the challenge would be taken away, along with the rewarding experience of progress.

What you want is a tactic that uses an engine "exploit", there isn't any for the latest patch (14.2) yet , but there is one for 14.1.4, the 3-4-2-1-0.tac made by romian and veez. :)
There also was one for fm 2012 called "The Grid", I don't remember any for last year's game though.

i'm not speaking of one tactic.
What i mean are tactics that fit best against 4231 ore 41221 ore 442 because the spaces in the tactics are different. I'm by myself a professionel football player and i know from experience that we chance small thing in our tactics again and again against other tactics..

So of all the tactics tested, why no one give an amazing test and test on everything weather, tactic, home away, different country..

This would give users more informations because every country has different styles..

Because a lot of people are too lazy to do this. They just want a plug n play tactic that makes them win 5-0 every match without having to change anything, which makes me wonder why they bother spending money on the game in the first place.

Because then you'd need 10-15 different tactics a season just to get through it because of the number of different setups you'd go against.

Someone last year did a save where using just three base formations to provide a very large overall understanding and level of comfort with a huge number of styles of formations. Then for each game just put players where they were needed along with a style that best suited the game.

This I like, can you remember what the post was, I'd like to read that.

The problem most people have when setting up their tactics is that they forget that they are actually playing against someone.
I constantly see people asking "Why are not players not playing well?" when the question you really should be asking is "what are the opponents doing to stop my players form playing well."

Managers set up their teams to stop the opponent from playing, that's their job. The players on the pitch are responsible for their own performance and making sure they can make the most out of the advantage their manager has provided them with.

Most people ignore the opposisiotn and try to set up their teams to only focus on their strengths while completely ignoring what the opponent is doing. This is why Plug-and-play tactics are so popular since they require very little effort.

Making a good tactic is not that hard, it's just time consuming and there are lots of frustrations involved.

The main flaw is the belief that there is a "perfect tactic."
What makes a perfect tactic is not the tactic, but having the best possible 11 players who fit into that system.
And with millions of players, there are infinite combinations of players who can fit into a tactic.

Gamer's choice.

That is not really for you to decide, to be fair. If someone want to play the game that way it's their choice. It's certainly not pointless since he obviously enjoys it that way.

Previous games have had certain tactics that works really, really well, so it's quite a legit question for him to bring out.

Well, I'm one of those lazy people you're talking about, and I'll give you a straight answer:
Because I still find the game very enjoyable. Does it bother you that people might enjoy the game in different ways than you?
