Completely dominated the game from start to finish. Maynor Figueroa started off an accomplished game with a goal, and was a constant threat throughout. Excellent defensively as well. James McCarthy also got a rare goal, managing a decent ranged shot from outside the box. QPRs defense couldn't close him down fast enough, and he let loose. Will Hughes, the young prodigy completed the route in the 73rd minute with a beautiful solo effort.
Excellent start to the campaign, and we will look to build on this!

Our midfield continued their amazing goal scoring run into this game at the Hawthorns. Simao opened the scoring with a blistering show from just outside the eighteen yard box. Newboy Andy Carroll forced an own goal when his shot ricocheted off the bar onto the back of the West Brom player and into the goal. In the second half we continued to press. The last goal came ten minutes after youngster Koray Gunter came on and finished a drilled cross with an excellent header.

Great start to the game, United caught us on a counter attack and Hamsik put it away. Quick retaliation from 19 year old winger Will Hughes gave us some hope. After half time Manchester started piling on the pressure and we managed to hold out for only 5 minutes, when Wayne Rooney scored a simple tap in due to a defensive mistake (Soft marking).Robin van Persie secured the win with a great header in the 89th minute. Wigans first loss of the season.

The midfield again showed an incredible performance, with James McCarthy opening the scoring in the 40th minute. Alfred N'Diaye equalised with a real poachers effort off a corner. Half time came and the players were looking fired-up. 19 minutes after the interval, Franco di Santo put one away after a superb run. James McCarthy rounded off an amazing performance with his second goal of the night 3 minutes later. Maynor Figueroa was injured (Ankle sprain), which is a blow to Wigan.

Andy Carrolls first goal!

Although we came away with a draw, I am quite disappointed. We completely dominated the game. Their goal came from a mistake from the goalkeeper who spilled the shot into Fletchers feet who finished with a tidy tap. Andy Carroll opened his account for Wigan with a towering header from a Will Hughes cross.

Di santo opened the scoring with a spectacular volley from 15 yeards. Nikica Jelavic equalised shortly after the break when Arsenal hit us on the counter attack. It all became quite worrying for Wigan when Simao was sent off for a second red card. Andy Carroll then scored a goal he would remember by winning us the game.
