Will not discuss a new contract :/

I have Nicolas Nkoulou, who has been with me for 3 years (this is his fourth). New season has come around and new contract negotiations.

I have put Fulham in a minor bit of debt... and so I cannot create the contract that he wants because I cannot afford it.

However I came to this contract and looked and accidentally pressed "walk away"... now I cannot talk to him about a contract.

Any help? Or have I lost my best player?

This has happened to me where I clicked walk away by mistake. I think if you leave it a couple of months he might then want to negotiate.

Give it some time, he should re-enter negotiations pretty soon again. Usually takes a week or two for players to come around.
Never walk away, just continue your game when contract negotiations won't work out.

Yeah, he turned around... lost him anyway though... couldn't afford his contract... but I have a lot of youngsters who have taken his place in the team, so all is good.
