WREXHAM SIGN GERMAN DUO

View attachment 115920
Premier League champions Wrexham have today announced the signing of two German players, with their signings sending shockwaves throughout football

The first signing, and probably one of the biggest signings of all time, is the signing of two time World Golden Ball winner Stephan Hoger from FC Barcelona on a free transfer

Hoger, 23, is one of world football's global superstars and his signing ON A FREE TRANSFER has been a huge shock, with internal rifts within former club Barcelona being sighted as the main reason for his departure

Hoger, who only made 5 appearances for boyhood club Schalke before joining Barcelona for £20m in 2029 made 182 league appearances for Los Cules, scoring 49 goals and bagging 98 assists for the Spanish side, he has also made 43 appearances for Germany, scoring 17 goals

Hoger's awards: European U-19 Championship Best Player Runner-Up (2027), European Golden Boy (2031, 2032, 2033), Best Player in Europe Runner-Up (2032, 2034), Best Player in Europe (2033), World Golden Ball Runner-Up (2031), World Golden Ball (2032, 2033), World Cup Best Player (2034)

The second signing was that of more of a lesser-known quantity in Felix Fellerman

Fellerman, 20, has joined Wrexham from Schalke for £12.5m after just one season at the German club, having been bought from Bayern Munich for £10.5m in 2033

Fellerman, who has 11 German Under-21 caps, can play in midfield or just in behind the striker and is known for his aibility to dictate the tempo of the match

Hoger is valued at £62m.....nice freebie!

also, did you get bored of managing Wales?

Hoger is valued at £62m.....nice freebie!

A very nice freebie, especially as I hadn't noticed him until I had a look at the scouting tab the day before his contract entered its final month

I didn't get bored of managing Wales and it was a bit of a sad decision because there are still some fantastic youngsters coming though, but the qualifiers and stuff meant that it took ages to progress and I doubt I'll have enough time for another tournament in this story

Apparently this guy could become world class, what do you guys think? Should I get him? I can get him for around £11m

This is what happened to Zulu
View attachment 115661

Needless to say he never became world-class
View attachment 115660

Without those years in Brazil, he made 282 league appearances, scored 8 goals, made 47 assists and had a areer average rating of 6.76

His career highlights are winning three Minas Gerais State Championships, one Brazilian Cup and one Cope Libertadores with Atletico Mineiro, making his international debut for Italy against Venezuela, winning promotion to the Premier League with Bournemouth (Playoffs), winning the Scottish League Cup with Hearts, being promoted to Serie A with AlbinoLeffe (Playoffs, again) and being relegated from Serie A to Serie B with AlbionLeffe, twice.

He played for Mineiro, Cardiff, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, Bournemouth, Hearts, Aberdeen, Lazio, Atlanta and AlbinoLeffe over a career that spanned 19 years

An enigma.

For the second year in a row, the Community Shied was contested by Wrexham and Manchester City and, for the second year in a row, Man City won. We went with a 4-4-1-1 and deserved to win, promising.

Llewelyn, Murray, Rogers, Foster, Hoger, Jarman, Wanadio (Fellerman 71), Carvalho, Noice (Mountford 59), Walsh, Laurent

We went with the 3-4-2-1 and kept the ball very well but just couldn't find the net. Stoke didn't help matters as they sought to halt play at every opportunity, racking up 25 fouls and 6 yellow cards

Wrexham 1-0 AFC Bournemouth

Llewelyn, Murray, Rogers, Foster, Wanadio, Hoger (Karakaya 61), Jarman (Ward 78), Walsh, Carvalho, Fellerman, Noice

We went with a 3-1-4-1-1 today and, despite winning, were thoroughly unconvincing, I need to find a tactic

Newcastle United 2-4 Wrexham

Llewelyn, Fishwick, Murray, Rogers, Foster, Hoger (King 57), Jarman, Wanadio (Walsh 45), Carvalho, Fellerman, Laurent

That's better! A very convincing win at St.James' makes me very happy indeed as we put on a show. It should have been 4-0 but two back-to-back worldies from Ball got Newcastle back into it for a while

LEAGUE CUP THIRD ROUND
Brighton and Hove Albion 0-1 Wrexham

WREXHAM IN HUGE DEAL

View attachment 115404
Wrexham have today announced the signing of Anthony Norman in a deal that could rise to a MASSIVE £127m, if certain clauses are met

Wrexham have paid £38m up front for the England international, with Watford getting £60m if he manages to score 50 league goals for the North Walian side as they attempt to win back-to-back league titles

Norman, 25, spent 3 and a half seasons at Watford, scoring 77 goals in 123 league appearances for the Hornets, lifting the Europa League and European Super Cup in that time

The striker, who has scored 10 goals in 31 England caps, where he scored 46 goals in 132 league appearances for the Hammers, his boyhood club

ROBINS BRING IN REINFORCEMENTS

View attachment 115355
Wrexham have today completed their January business, bringing in two players as the window slams shut

The first player signed was goalkeeper Sam Davenport, who's joined the club on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Manchester United

Davenport, 30, started his career at Manchester United and made 2 league appearances for the club, whilst also spending time out on loan Peterborough United, Brighton, Fulham and Ipswich, where he made a combined total of 195 league appearances

He then joined Chelsea on a free transfer, before being brought back to Old Trafford for £1m in the January transfer window, making two league appearances before being signed by Southampton for £375,000, where he made 1 league appearance before joining Rotherham for £13m in the January window, where he made 40 league appearances before joining West Ham for £1.4m

Davenport made 10 league appearances for the Hammers before being brought back for a THIRD spell at Manchester United for £475,000, where he made 2 league appearances before being released
View attachment 115354

The second player signed is one very familiar to Matthew Hawkins, as he brought in Paddy Boyle from Stoke for£145,000

Boyle, 33, was first signed by Hawkins 17 years ago as a 16 year old from Northern Irish side Dungannon Swifts for £70,000. Boyle went on to make 60 league appearances over 7 seasons at Cardiff City, winning the Premier League (twice), Europa League, FA Cup and the Champions League with the Bluebirds

He then moved on to Germany, where he played for Bavarian giants Bayern Munich, who'd paid £29m for his services. Boyle 34 league appearances over 2 seasons for the Bavarians, scoring 7 goals and lifting two Bundesliga titles, the German Cup, the German Super Cup and the European Super Cup

He then joined Stoke for £19.5m, where he spent 7 and a half seasons, making 227 league appearances and scoring 50 league goals for the Potters, with whom he lifted the FA Cup and Community Shield

Boyle has 87 caps for Northern Ireland and has scored 13 international goals
