Won the league but didn't get promoted.

Evening all. As the title suggests I have just won the Austrian First division with TSV Hartberg but I did not get promoted to the Premier Division. The team that came in second place SV Horn went up instead. Does anyone know why or how I can find out what happened please?

My first thoughts are perhaps you are a B team of a side that are already in the top division? Also check the league rules, that might give you a bit more information

I'm not a B Team (as far I know anyway. We have an amateur team of our own). The league rules say that the top team wins promotion so that doesn't shed any light either. Thanks for the reply though.

Could it relate to your facilities?

Oooo I never thought about that. What type of thing will keep a team from getting promoted? Stadium? Training? Ownership of Stadium? Any ideas?

Could it also relate to being amateur status? But facility related is my bet
