There is advanced list of Football Manager 2009 wondekids like Hugo Lloris, Davide Santon, Gareth Bale, Jack Rodwell, Ignacio Camacho, Rafael Carioca, Alex Witsel, etc. Young star-players are grouped by positions and sorted by value - that is really convenient.ions and sorted by value - that is really convenient.

last year someone released a shortlist with all the players over a certain potential ability, i would appreciate one this year too!

There'll be a new version of FM Genie Scout out soon Sam so just use that to generate your shortlist.

i understand its good and everything for someone to tell you what players will be good but the whole point is to discover them yourself. Purchase some random young-gun, stick him in your youth team for a few years and see what happens!

well the wonderkids are pretty static so i feel theres no point wasting money buying players if they arent gonna improve, i like to start off knowing whos good but i like to do long career games so i do all the hard work when regens come through

Here's a list of most of the top potential players.

Thanks for the list Sean, Had a look at about 10 of them and there all getting rather good (third season). The players at Hearts are not hat good though i sold them

Yeh finding them on your own is a much better feeling. A lot more risky but still great :D

It does feel better finding them on your own, but once regens start coming in I find it more or less impossible (using the in game scouting) to find world class ones as even with 20/20 scouts you can't be guaranteed their reports are correct. Plus, even if you send them to say Africa, they never find anyone, yet if you use Genie Scout or whatever there's always about 5 African regens with 180+ PA.

How many scouts do you know from England that could drop down to Africa for a week and instantly find world class players... It is an entire continent.
A good mixture of scouting reports and trial days should be more than adequate a resource to decide how you feel about a player.

Furthermore, 'Stats' don't make a player, there is personality and team morale to consider, no?

Player X: SUPER WORLD CLASS WONDER KID (controversial personality)

Player Y: Above-Average League Player (professional personality)

I can not understand why some people would choose the wonderkid and sacrifice team harmony.

Well considering this "Scouting Knowledge" is supposed to show how successful your scouts will be in a certain area, then I'd expect any scout with exceptional knowledge of Africa to find at least one out of five wonderkids.

Also, I'd rather have player X than player Y because 1: simply he's a world class player and 2: that's what the tutoring is for, to change young players whose attitude isn't right.

I found on my own Sakho, Santon, Fiorillo, and allready know of Wijnaldum bla bla... I risked alot, i payed for Bee 2.5 Million Euro, and sold him for 250 thousand :D... Thats the pleasure of the game, its not so good pleasure if you find a list..

The game manual says that there are some mental attributes, which can not be changed. These are the attributes I'm discussing.
I understand what you mean about having a world class player, but world class over above average and sacrificing my team morale seems to much of a gamble for my lowly sides.

I think Zuculini is a cheap player to contract.

He has a good potential :)

He seems ok. I'm getting him with Middlesbrough, should be better than Digard & Shawkey anyway.

Just started the game but the one player i found is pretty good is Antonio Bryan for Man U. Phelan says to offload asap but he has several assists for me when i stick him on the right and has yet to have a bad game. He is performing better than some of the united regulars. Ronaldos injured and Nani was suspended so i needed someone on the wing.

just to add my piece, found a player called jo inge berget, cost me 2 million from udinese and been a star performer ever since for my leeds squad well worth having a look at just had a enquiry from real madrid for him aswell
