It doesn't really matter, you might not even have to turn up and nobody will care. Once it's over nobody really cares

It's only a week.

I didn't do it, but just go to a local shop or something, or a relatives work.

Hey there. Heathrow is far too busy (and unfriendly) to do that sort of thing. If you want a good work experience go to the Stapleford Flight Centre in Essex. Its close to Debden on the Central line.

I am currently doing my ATPL there, so feel free to e-mail me.

Unfortunately no airline that I know of will let you on a work experience, so you might have to settle for a flying school, but chances are they will take you up in the back seat a few times so you will actually enjoy it better!!! : )

Work Experience is the most pointless thing ever.

Could not disagree any more!

often in the work place people like to see well rounded people who have done many things. even if they are not 100% relavent.

it bulks up CVs....and is useful in interviews. for example I worked in the city before deciding it was not for me. I now work as a Managament Consultant/Project Manager for a IT consultancy foregeted at professional services compnaies.

I did 1 month work experience over a summer during uni and people were impressed that i took time off a paying job to gain this.

but that was not just the thing that got me the job when i was 16 i did my work expereince as a environmental engineer and hated it! the MD of my compnay was a Ex-Engineer and hated it too and we bonded over that and thus got the job.

work experience is very important how many times have people said i did not get the job as i did not have the expereince!!!!!!!!

When employers say that, they generally mean actual work, they don't give a **** about where you spent a week or two making sandwiches.

Mmm, Uni work experience if a bit different, when you are sent on it for a week when you're 15, you don't get given any responsibility or proper work.
