Work permits: "Player sees no benefit"

Hi all,

Firstly, sorry if this has been covered before.

I have a great defender that I want to get back to England! He has done his two years in a foreign country and can apply for a work permit, but the message "sees no benefit" is displayed. Is there anything I can do about this? Offer him a new contract as an incentive?

Can he get the work permit or not? If not and he does not want to gain another nationality to play, sell him. But, if he gets the work permit and you can play him, why bother if he gets UE nationality? Unless he does not play, and if he is a reserve, why bother to have him. im sure you can get good players that don't need the WP. Btw, can you SS him?

Probably because he is currently playing in that country and a WP isn't necessary (which sounds like a glitch, considering the only reason he is there is for a work permit).. Offer him a new contract, that might work.. If not, wait for him to return to England and then try to offer him a contract.
