All you've done now though is made it random teams , not exaclt explained the whole concept and the OP look similar

Sweepstakes..

You are assigned a team at random and if they win then so do you.

Example: I draw Spain at random and Spain then go on to win the World Cup. Therefore I win.

It is usually done in workplaces/schools for an overall cash prize. In this instance its just a bit of fun
