Post Match Review -

Overall i am pleased with the result. I was chuffed with P.Crouch's Stunning hat-trick and utterly deserved his MoM. M.Owen had a quiet game and i was a little disappointed by the late goal we conceded, as we appeared to have switched off. i Dominated possession but was a little bit worried that when wales had the ball they looked like they could score at almost every opportunity. Nevertheless a win is a win and i look forward to the next match against Switzerland.

Other News -

P.Crouch won his 40th cap his record is P(40) G(19)

Pull out the rope , pull out the rope , lols not sure if you saw smithys team talk with engalnd and he said if crouchy scores a hat trick he should do that lol :)

How do you feel going into games as the skipper?

S.Gerrard
I'm fine and getting more and more excited every day.

Sky Sports
What can you as team captain actually do for the team?

S.Gerrard
Basically, each player has to look after himself, however, i can motivate them and be a shining example and keep in close contact with them.

Sky Sports
What is your the teams aim for the European championships?

S.Gerrard
Well firstly we got to make sure we qualify out of the group, and then anythings possible really.

Sky Sports
Thank You Steven, Well with Frank Lampard as Vice-Captain and Wayne Rooney ruled out for up to three months the england camp has a certain changed look about it, it will be seen against Switzerland if the Honeymoon period will be indeed over for Pugh.

Post Match Review
A 1-1 Draw against Switzerland is not too bad, we should have beaten them and on another day we probably would have. Swiss Goalkeeper D.Benalgio was outstanding, and Crouch could have scored right at the death. Agobonlahor had a goal disallowed a minute after coming on, he was marginally offside, and M.Carrick limped off after 22 minutes with a suspected ankle injury.

Our Next game is a friendly against Finland in a month's time, Lets hope we can get some fringe players to come good.

Even though we won the game, if it wasn't for C.Cole and some short sharp passes We could have finished with a shock defeat. Our wide play was diabolical and that is something i will need to address soon. Defoe and Crouch were both pretty quiet. And i still have another friendly against Malta to boost confidence.

Other News
D.Wheater made his England Debut

Dude where's Heskey XD
Good luck for the game vs Malta

hes not playing for villa at the mo so unless he plays or moves he won't be picked.... sorry any way cole and crouch are the big strikers in form so heskey has alot to do :P

But he seems to play every game for Villa and England IRL without doing anything XD
