who do you think is the best player ever to grace the earth?
if you don't agree with any choices in the poll, state who you think the best ever player is and why.
 
Personally, I would go for Zidane. However, it is difficult to judge because of the differences between football today and the days when Di Stefano played. And I really don't see why Christiano Ronaldo or Kaka are in there? Yes, they are good players but are really not in the same class yet as most of the players mentioned. And then there are the players not mentioned: Best, Puskas
 
i would say Bobby Moore because he is an England Legend and he was amazing, but from the people on that list i would have to say Pele
 
Zidane but Pele and Maradona were also great players. I don't understand why you have players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi up there. They've had 1 or 2 good seasons and have the potential to be the best but who knows they might end up like Ronaldinho.
 
i would have voted for Garrincha had he been there but my vote has to go to pele. hard choice between him and zidane though
 
i dont really feel like i can vote for this because i am only 21 and have not seen much of Pele,Maradona etc just the best bits you see on tv

I voted for Messi because i feel even at his young age he is the best player i have seen on a regular basis.

Ronaldinho could have been one of the best players in the world, he was just unfortunate. If cristiano Ronaldo had continued his 42-goal form this season and next I think some people may have felt different about his inclusion. Messi, like Ronaldinho did, has the potential to be one of the best players ever
 
My best 3 are probably Pele, Maradona and Eric Cantona. For me, those three players stand out in a class of their own.
 
My vote goes to zinedine Zidane hes freaking awesome loved the headbutt on materazzi in the world cup finals what a legend.
 
i just dont understand why anyone voted for pele or maradonna chances ae you've never seen them play a match, maybe a highlight reel on youtube, im not saying i know more but im not pretending i know anything, i reckon yo cant vote for a payer youve never seen play..

Romario, Figo, Matthaus, Muller, van Basten, Cryuff, Rijkaard, Platini, Zico, Gullit, Eusebio, Zoff, and lots lots more.

Not that it matters anyway because Pele and Maradonna are still a class above the rest.
 
pushing 25 so can't tell about the old ones but 1994 onward definetly Zidane. Second Choices (94 onward):Baggio was also amazing, Ronaldo (the older one) and an argentinian midfielder who played second half of the 90's, Fernando Redondo, Roberto Carlos, maybe romario or bergkamp but haven't seen much of them.
 
from what ive seen of each player, there is no doubt that maradona was a cheat for that one game, but no denying the fact that his was a magical player, so im going for him.

Zoff is there, sorry about the rest. How could I forget Eusebio as I have the same b/day as him. ( also the same as Rabbie Burns but thats not miportant lol :P )
