Why is there no Johan Cruyff? He is not only a great player on the pitch, he is a revolutionary off it as well. Personally, i think there will be no 'Total Football' without him on the field implementing it.

I agree. My choices for best players ever are also Di Stefano and Puskas. Before my time yes, but I managed to watch some old footage of them playing for Real Madrid. Then there is also Johan Cruyff (best winger I have seen) and Marco van Basten (best striker I have seen, could score with both feet and had a good header as well), and the fact that I support the Netherlands national side have absolutely nothing to do with it! Ha-Ha!

Personally I feel there is no such thing as best player. It's a matter of opinion and perspective, but players are different and have different styles of play, so to say that one is the best isn't really accurate.

Eric Cantona - Because I forgot him as I'm only human

Solskjaer - As I don not feel he merits a place in the 'World's best-ever player' poll when he wasn't a regular starter at United.

Cristiano Ronaldo - Is in the poll

Van Der Sar - Albeit a good player, hardly one of the greatest

Toress - What has he done that Messi and C.Ronaldo haven't?

Kham & Buffon - May have a case, particularly the latter

Nesta & Cannavaro - Same as above

Henrik 'overated' Larsson is in this and Bobby Moore isnt.... Hmmm...........
