Worth signing?

I'm currently playing as Scunthorpe United, just started my second season and have signed 20 year old striker Gary Madine from Carlisle. Cost me £750k and all his attributes point to him being a good target man. I've bought him to play alongside either Leigh Griffiths or Adam Le Fondre, both of whom I signed at the beginning of the first season for a combined total of £600k. They both play as Poachers (hence why I'm looking for a good Target Man to use instead), Le Fondre finished joint top scorer in the Champtionship with 26, and Griffiths got 23. Just wondering what peoples experiences of him are!? Has anyone bought him or played as Carlisle, and which role did you use him? Screenshots showing his history under you would be great.

Also looking for anyones experiences on Fulham's English left back Matthew Briggs, just signed him for £500k. Looks like a decent young british left back.

i have him on 11.3 for sheffield wednesday and hes a bit of a beast until he got a 9 month injury :(
 
Slightly off-topic but. Did you play Adam Le Fondre lone or WITH Griffiths before you got Madine? And how consistent was he?

I played him alongside Griffiths, in a 4-4-2 formation. Both set as poachers
He was really consistent throughout the season, better at the beginning actually. Kinda drifted at the end but that didn't matter too much to me as I was already safe from relegation so was happy enough.
I remember he scored a couple of hat-tricks in the league, as well as 4 in a game against Leicester. The two of them also managed to bag 2 each in an FA Cup win against Blackpool, so he's a decent player
 
I signed him with Bradford City for a deal in excess of £350k With £250k up front and £100k every 24 months. My board and fans hated me :p Scored 18 by January. He seems to pick up form on mine and then suddenly lose it. One game he could score a hat trick the next he couldnt hit a barn door xD

Haha well I signed him for £325k, and the fans said it was far too much. I think its safe to say he proved them wrong haha, he seems to thrive on pressure for me, whereas Griffiths can go off form if I ask too much of him
 
I would Gladly accept offers of over £250k for him though. But there is a 30% of next sale clause to rovrum. Which would be pointless to sell him.

It was weird because I offered £300k and they rejected it, but £325k was enough for the Chairman to intervene and say it was too good to turn down! All for the sake of 25 grand hahah
