basically this thread is about players that played for your club that could have been legends but underperformed and joined another club and became world class post those players here

well this guy never became world class anywhere else but adrian mutu if he hadnt of been a prat and taken drugs who knows he could of became a star at chelsea
 
I think Ozil will fall into this category in years to come. Think he's moved to Madrid when there isn't a starting place for him, he's left a good Werder side, to a side in which he'll probably warm the bench for a few years.
 
Ribery for Galatasaray :D

He came to Galatasaray in 2005 and played half season for us. However, we did not pay his wage in time something like 500k£ then he go to OM.
 
looking at a youth aspect Rodrigo Possebon and Frazier Campbell were always thought of to become great players but failed to deliver.

edit - i know they didn't become worldclass, but still theres time..

Well he clearly didn't come world class, but Franny Jeffers was sucha bright prospect for Everton before he moved to Arsenal for £10million. That was a huge fee for a 20 year old at the time, and it was justified until he became an absolute ******. Then there's Marco Materazzi and Olivier Dacourt who I don't know much about as I was a young child when they were at Everton but I remember them well, and both became world class players if you ask me!
 
Markus Babbel, very good player, but illness stopped his career short.
Nicholas Anelka, Houlier didn't sign him permenantly, despite how good he played, signed Diouf instead.
Babel was such a good prospect, not finished yet like, but looks like he'll never fulfill his potential.
 
Patrick Vieira at AC Milan they sold him to Arsenal for 3.5m and tried to resign him for 5m a month later
 
Gourcuff. AC milan let him off to boredeux the same season they lost kaka to real madrid.

Gourcuff went on to win the league and the leagues best player.
 
i think David Silva will call into this category, think he should of stayed in spain, and oh yeah i remember that tackle from Pogetez was disgusting, he was starting to get more games aswell, played well until that tackle screwed him over :@
 
Fernando Morientes! Everyone he seemed to play for he scored goals and yet at liverpool he kinda failed! :|

michael mancienne seems him gunna fall into this category :( when he was first coming through i heard great things of him and he was expected to be a great defender at chelsea and now he is in his 20s we are still loaning him to wolves every season and its only a matter of time before he leaves for good

Flogged him to Arsenal when he was a teen and it went to his head, he could have been an England regular IMHO
