For Chelsea i have a few.
  1. Adrian Mutu - Druggy
  2. Chris Sutton - Excellent at Blackburn only scored 3 in a 10million pound move
  3. Juan Veron - Picked up to many injurys
  4. William Gallas - Was loved by the fans and if he was just happy to play where he was asked to im sure he would have been a legend
  5. Claudio Pizzaro - Excellent in Germany, only scored 2 goals all season both against Birmingham in seperate games
  6. Pierluigi Casiraghi - Italian legend joined for 4 million and get a awful injury early into his Chelsea carear that forced him to retire
  7. Wayne Bridge - Unfortunatly for him he plays in a era where Ashley Cole lives so he was never going to be 1st team at Chelsea
Im sure there have been many more so if any other Chelsea fans have any please add.

The obvious one here is Marco Negri, scored 33 goals before Xmas, before not scoring at all for the remainder of his five years or so at the club. Great things were said of Daniel Prodan, but we ****** up his medical, so.

Barry Ferguson was at one point a world class midfielder in my eyes, but injuries and a shocking career move to Blackburn dictated otherwise. And then of course, theres Iain Durrant, who would have been legend if it wasn't for a sad incident up north.

sure i remember him mate was that the one who i think only scored 1 goal for chelsea against liverpool and had his career ended in a game against west ham ??

Shay Given and Stewart Downing were on loan with us. To be fair, we never looked like getting Downing, but Given was nicked by those wankers up the road :(

Andrea pirlo , Was at inter they thought he wasn't good enough , they sent him on loan to a few lower league clubs , he signs for AC Milan in a swap deal for Andrea Poli , they play him as a holding DM and a star was born

yup mate, he scored a the winner at anfield when Phil Babb slid into the post squashing his bollox. Yer i think he got clattered by a defender and Shaka Hislop his knee got caught inbewteen them both was a huge shame. I believe he is Italys U21 manager now days.

yeah just looking at his wikipedia page now and his goal scoring record doesnt seem to bad at the clubs he played for tbh

Fabrice Fernandez
Jerome Bonnisel

Fernandez, so much talent, just a bit of a *****. Bonnisel was amazing, shame he had to end his career through injury :'(

if you look at west ham you could argue half the england team.

what with frank lampard, joe cole, michael carrick, rio ferdinand, glen johnson, jermaine defoe and john terry all having spent time at the london club as youths.

basically this thread is about players that played for your club that could have been legends but underperformed and joined another club and became world class post those players here

Not really the same thing with the West Ham players. They were already stars for West Ham which led to interest from bigger clubs and eventually being sold for large sums of money.

Fernandez, remember him scoring from the halfway line as if it was yesterday for us - legend.
