i wouldnt use this much as i hated english at school, but i think it would benifit alot of people.

i would probaly get enjoyment out of reading peoples storys/writing ect ect. without ever posting on myself. so i voted yes

Great idea billy

I don't really think this idea would work out, purely because it would be ignored by about 90% of members. I mean look how bad the "Music" & "Movies & Television" Forums are doing, adding another forum for an even more obscure subject would probably get less posts.

Also the "writing" part of it really isn't much to do with Football Manager, if you want to share your short stories etc. with the world wouldn't it be easier to do so on a dedicated website? I mean I'd happily read a short story about anything related to football but sci-fi stories etc. is probably to far for most of the users on here, considering it's a pretty immature place most of the time :P

The idea is interesting and I wouldn't mind it being on the site, I just don't see it's relevance and can't see many people posting in it or actually bothering to write anything to go in there. I do agree with starting a thread in the general chat forum is a good idea but a whole section dedicated to it is a little extreme.

After thinking it over, I've decided that it probably isn't worth the time and effort. I'll find a more specialised forum for sharing my writing.

I appreciate the feedback from people, though the main reason it probably wouldn't be a success is because it would be underused.

Writing has been something I have done since I was little. Weather it be songs or stories I find it therapudic.

:O I was going to write a story tommorow:O

Write and post it mate, but I don't think a section is required for it as I doubt the demand will be there despite the responses in this thread.

I think it would be a well appreciated area of this site but it would lack content as, while I like Art and Writing, I suck at both, so I won't be contributing. It's a good idea but it needs a more specialised forum

i don't like writing stories much as i hate english but im currently taking art for my GCSE's and might post up a few of my pics :D

whoever voted no, has no soul lol, i really think this is a fantastic idea, im a good writer also

Im taking that as a ginger jobe ;)

I voted no as I dont feel at this current time at least that it merits its own forums, especially seeing as it doesnt even a thread to put in the forum :P

Same reason for me (Apart from the ginger jibe)

You have an eye for good grammer Redrup. Are you a writer? ;)

Hah, wouldn't go as far as to say that. Just always been a grammar* - and apparently spelling - ****.

It helps that I'm currently in my second (And final) year of A level English Language too.

Surprised you didn't point out the misspelling of 'therapeutic'.

I suppose I had such an erection over 'whether' that I didn't notice. To be honest his spelling of that word is so woeful that I thought it might have been some kind of obscure word that nobody apart from him knows :P

any more opinions guys?

Doesnt look like its going to happen at the moment as there doesnt even appear to be enough interest to even start a thread nevermind create enough to support a forum.

Thread closed for now but if theres evdidence that interest has picked up ie thread(s) then we can look at it again
