Yang Changpeng - A Chinese Giant - BaP Story

Some people may recognize the name 'Yang Changpeng' but I'm guessing most of you don't, he is a real player and he even trialed for Bolton back in 2006 but nothing materialized. I've decided to make a Yang Changpeng 14 year old Chinese star and follow his career, why Yang? Well, in real-life and with my 14 year old he is a colossal 6 foot 9 inches, or 205cm.

I will be following the simple layout that I used in that career and hopefully Yang can be a star!

Basic Information:

Why Liangsheng? They were the closest team to Yang's real-life birthplace of Wuhan, no other reason

Leagues Loaded: China - Yi League (3rd Tier)​

Season 1 - 2014

No first team football yet for Yang but he'***** the ground running with the reserve team even though they only play friendlies, he did play for the Chinese Under 20's though scoring twice. Next year Yang will be pushing on and hoping to get a chance in the 1st team, speaking of which, shall we see how they got on?

Not too bad as you can see they finished 3rd, albeit 8 points behind Meizhou who have the real life Yang Changpeng playing for them (he scored 6 goals in 10 appearances)

Also I feel I should note that 14 year old Yang started with a CA of around 60 and a PA of -10.

Yang's breakthrough season happened sooner than I would have expected! Aged just 15 when he made his debut he won the league top goalscorer award as well as appearing in the league team of the season Liansheng couldn't capitalise though and ended up finishing 4th.

Season 4 - 2017

Yang managed to get his international debut although he performance was pretty poor, he really needs to get away from Guangzhou as they play with just 1 striker and Yang isn't that one, just the 1 start and she still made it onto the subs bench for team of the year. He's still ripping it up for Guangzhou Reserves and Under 19's as well as the China U22 team.

43 goals scored all season!!

The clubs are there...just waiting for his contract to end next season.

CSL:

Guangzhou get close, but again don't do enough to win the league.

Nope, staying at Guangzhou, I had this problem in FM14 where my player ended up spending 20 seasons at CSKA Moscow. Will that happen here? God knows.

Season 8 - 2021

Internationally Yang did not have a good year with just 6 goals in 14 starts, 2 of these gave him runner-up in the East Asian Cup though. Domestically as you can see he broke the club and league record for most goals scored in a season! What's even better is that Guangzhou managed to go unbeaten for the entire season!
