please i don t find link for your tactic i m very interesting to try it

I stupidly saved over the one for the last 2 seasons (4-4-2 Standard/Rigid and 4-4-2 Attacking/Balanced)

However, here's my new 4-2-2-2 Standard/Balanced which will be the main formation for the 2018/19 season:

I also use the 4-5-1 Defensive/Very Rigid mentioned on page 2 (I think), and 4-2-2-2 Attacking/Fluid version of this.

The only difference is its more attacking, with the full backs getting forward more and the flanks exploited much more, as we look to move towards more expansive football gradually!

I'll be doing the transfer update and pre-season update very shortly, stay tuned!

2018/19 - Season 6

Aims

  • To finish as high as possible in the Premier League.
  • Put equal emphasis on Champions League games - getting as far as possible.
  • Domestic cups are a good chance to play fringe players and young prospects.
  • Upgrade facilities + coaching where possible.
The Board again sanctioned an upgrade to the Training and Youth facilities. Junior coaching and Youth recruitment expenditure were increased once more.

We will play our home games at Ashton Vale (30,000 capacity) in Bristol this season. Our stadium, Huish Park, is being expanded from 16,853 to what I can only assume is its' fully expanded capacity of 25,000. I will most likely curb transfer expenditure, and wage expenditure (compared to the last 3 seasons in the Premier League) in order to save enough in the club balance for a new stadium. I'll most likely ask the board for a new stadium in just under 2 years time so that building work can commence prior to the 2020/2021 season (if they accept the proposal!).

Transfers - Out
  • Paul McShane joins Wolves after a successful loan spell there last season, on a free transfer.
  • James Perch also leaves after his contract expired.
  • Matias Schelotto is a surprise departure after a good season following his free transfer to us. He started asking for a new contract of at least ?65k-a-week (before negotiations) which I didn't entertain, leaving him unhappy so I offered him out and took a quick ?5million profit from Cagliari. A good player, but I won't be held to ransom as he isn't irreplaceable! (6)
That concludes the departures, very minimal compared to last season!

Transfers - In
  • Antoine Griezmann, the French 27 year old winger, was transfer listed at Manchester United so I signed him for ?11million on a 5 year deal worth ?65k-a-week. He brings real quality to the left flank as we shift to a 4-4-2 using a LAM and RAM. His Corners (15) and Free Kicks (17) should be very handy too.
View attachment 414891
  • Fredy Guarin joins on loan from Inter Milan to help replace Schelotto on the right (he's accomplish in RM and RAM). A similar strong hardworker to Schelotto, he is a cheap like-for-like replacement although he will have a tough battle with the exciting Patrick Roberts for starts. Guarin and Griezmann conclude the first team signings.
View attachment 414855
  • Tony Callaghan was the first of our young additions, costing ?125k from Hamilton. Aged 16, already a Scottish U21 goalscorer, he is yet another striker and with massive potential one for the future! "star potential"
View attachment 414888
  • Jose Maria is a 16 year old Spanish central defender who cost ?425k from Murcia. "leading potential"
View attachment 414852
  • Mathis Roussel is a French holding midfielder aged 15. Tall, determined, brave and strong in the tackle, he has all of the attributes I was looking for. He was more than twice as expensive than both my other young signings combined, costing ?1.7m from Evian, and despite only "good Premier League potential" can surely be a hit with the right training.

So that concludes our transfer business for this season. 8 moved players in total, which shows that we are settling down as a squad! I'm happy with how things are going, let me know what you think of our transfers and the story in general! All you silent readers, I know you're there, leave a comment! The interaction is a massive part for me doing this! (6)

I'll be posting soon about our progress; Champions League play-offs and a UEFA Super Cup loom on the horizon!

Great read this mate, making me want to start a challenge of my own...may use my club Birmingham City as there finances awful and not tipped for anything other than failure on the game.

Ah Schelotto, shame he got greedy, been one of the best right wingers on the last 4 games.Fantastic job you're doing.Keep it up!

You're right, he is class and has been for a few editions! Almost regretting letting him go, a four-year-deal was long for a 29-year-old but with 18 natural fitness and 19 determination would he really deteriorate before 33? Luckily Guarin is a decent replacement and Roberts can now kick on!

Cheers for the feedback mate, another update coming shortly!

Cheers mate, glad you enjoy it and it makes me keep going!

Birmingham are a good side, could probably turn them around in a couple of seasons for promotion. Dan Burn is on loan from my team, Fulham, on the game, as is Shane Ferguson I think. And Reilly of course is a brilliant midfielder in my opinion, I do wonder about how good he could be on my Yeovil save if I gave him more game time! (he gets about 5 league starts per season)

Yeah i'm hoping I can turn them around, will get started on my season when i get home from work, need to offload a few who are on big wages and replace with hungry players who want to succeed... Being a ST holder at Blues and watching Burn at the start of the season it was obvious he would go on to play a part at Fulham just gutted was so early in the season...Couple mistakes in the 1st couple games but he is only 21 and has proved since been back at the Cottage that he is a premier league defender.

Cheers for the bit about Burn, he has since looked good in the first team and I hope we send a few more talented youngsters your way in the future! What about Callum Reilly for you? (I know he is/was on loan this season). Good luck with the Birmingham save!

I myself am a big fan of Callum due to his style of play, tough tackler and has a great engine, however since the loan signing of Emyr Huws from Man City he hasn't had a look in, Emyr is just class, has so much time on the ball and isn't afraid of a tackle.
Thanks I will keep you updated with my save through this thread... if you use steam add me dean_bcfc can chat through that sometime.

2018/19 - Season 6

Tactics

I should at this stage inform you of changes to the tactics we use. Because we are a much better team than before, I decided it was time to play a more expansive game to capitalise on the quality players we have at our disposal. Creative guys like Will Hughes, Patrick Roberts and Griezmann deserve to express themselves, and the full backs were previously limited almost completely to sitting back and defending.
- 4-5-1 Defensive/Very Rigid is the only unchanged tactic - I feel it works so well that we don't need to tinker with it.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/d2jdc7jxl6yw6v8/4-5-1_Defensive.tac
-
4-4-2 Standard/Rigid becomes 4-4-2 Standard/Balanced and the team instructions allow more creativity, a focus on playing wider, full backs overlapping and playing down the flanks.
http://www.mediafire.com/view/3kqmluqux0oy73e/4-4-2_Standard
- 4-4-2 Attacking/Balanced became 4-4-2 Attacking/Fluid, with similar instructions to the one above, roaming from positions and also less defensive instructions (No more stick to positions, tighter marking)

Pre-season

Despite going out at the group stages Angelo Henriquez bagged the Golden Boot at the World Cup for Chile!

View attachment 414815
Pre-season went really well, with a settled squad putting 7+ past a few teams! Full fixtures are found below, but first, onto our Champions League Playoff (the reward for finishing 4th!).

We were drawn against Dynamo Kiev, and pretty much played them off the park using the new formation (Standard/Balanced) but only managed a narrow 2-1 win. Not ideal conceding the away goal either.

View attachment 414814
Things looked bad when they scored after half an hour in the second leg, but Griezmann smashed in an important goal to send us through and the ?7.5million for appearing in the group stages goes some way to paying for the lads transfer too!

View attachment 414812
The groups were drawn and, being 4th seeds, we were given arguably a group of death facing 2015 winners Dortmund, mega-money Monaco and finally Zenit. We will have to play very well just to finish 3rd and defend our Europa League crown!

View attachment 414816
Onto the UEFA Super Cup, where we faced Champions League winners AC Milan. We hit the post a good 3 times (including Angelo Henriquez' penalty) before Henriquez made up for his penalty miss a minute later by rifling into the top corner on the counter! We kept creating but also, importantly didn't concede as the game finished 1-0. Yet more glory for Yeovil Town!

View attachment 414811View attachment 414810

So we have a tough run of fixtures up next, with Dortmund sandwiched between games against City, Liverpool and Tottenham. The fixture computer always does this, I swear! I'll update you shortly on our progress, as I cannot wait to get stuck into the Champions League group stages!

Stay tuned, and don't forget to leave a comment!

Are you a Yeovil Town legend yet? I would assume you are judging by the trophies you've picked up so far.
