Diego Costa, got him for 19 mill Second season, benched after 10 games - 10 games was being loyal and hoping things would improve. I will be selling him in January

Pogba.

I managed to get the board to sign him for 51. He's been nothing but average, he's being kept out of my Chelsea side by Jonjo Shelvey. Although Shelvey has been AMAZING and did get player of the year for me.

6.8's for a season are really bad? I mean obviously I expect my top player to be higher but if a player played at 6.8 I wouldn't say that was too bad? just average? So i'm just clarifying whether you guys meant the ratings themselves were bad, or the ratings considering how much you paid? Because then that makes a lot more sense.

Also remember to give them a season to adjust, someone might be average first season and sensational the next.

As Chelsea, I bought Andreas Cornelius for ?15m after he top scored in the Premier League in 2013-14 (he seemed to do that in every save). First game, he did his ACL and was out for 7 months and never came back the same player. 2 season-long loans to Swansea and Roma didn't help, and I managed to sell him for ?4m with a total of 15 league appearances, 1 goal. Don't get me started on Luuk de Jong from the same save. A panic deadline day buy (?8m) in the first season to cover for the poor strikers, he scored 4 league goals in 34 league games as a lone striker (we still won the league with 16 goals conceded) and ended up with 12 goals from around 100 games.

They weren't very expensive but were big wastes of money through their wages and total transfer fee.

Closest thing i've had to a flop on fm14 would be Alexadriusiz Milik. Bought for ?6m, scored 14 in 34 so sold him for ?12m the season after and replaced him with Vietto who did much better.

Julian Brandt has been disappointing for me though on a couple of saves.

Ilkay Gundogan was the biggest disappointment for my Man Utd. I gave him 2 seasons to settle in, but he failed, so I sold him and he didn't even perform in Madrid. I signed Clement Grenier to replace him and he was much better.

Nathaniel Clyne. OMG, he's total and absolute **** for me. Get performances of around 5 in the big games. Useless.

I guess you were just unlucky with Cornelius because of the injury. He looks immense on my save but now his wages are too high for my team, I'll try to sign him in my next career.

Shinji Kagawa and Nani are worthless. Nani doesn't get a game and Kagawa averages 6.7 and no one wants him.

Kagawa is a god in my save play him as a attacking midfielder on the Advanced playmaker Attack role i whant to play Mata there so bad but i cant drop or move him because he is doing so good so i had to move mata to the wings

for maycombe, bought a young left winger, Jordan Adekunle, for 210k, was mad at me for the entire season, had no stamina and his attributes never got better. sold him for a paltry 10k

in my hoffenheim save coen casteels is an absolute animal, kept the club in the top 5 until jannuary in the 1st season when he got injured for 9 months. i got some spare money so i bought jasper cillesen for 8 mil. worst buy ever in all 10 years of playing football manager sims, cillesen conceded 32 goals in 7 games before i put my u-19 gk into the goal and he did much better

Any striker i have bought. My tactics just aren't striker friendly i guess.

Casteels is a BEAST and because of him I finished 3rd in my 2nd season with Hoffe.

Draxler is the biggest flop in FM 14 for me. Got him for 45.5 mil E and in 2 seasons he was absolute garbage.

Memphis Depay (bought for 4m in 2nd season) - Released him at the end of the 4th season after going to Notts County and Charlton on loan.

Bought Mario Balotelli for 40 million pound in my United save in my third season. One of the most inconsistent strikers ever used :(.

I always play with Barcelona on every edition for the first game I play... (To get use to it without getting frustrated before I even get to know the game)

............ I sign Jack Wilshere, he gets a 6.52 average after 29 appearences, I was forced to play this 'injury prone, mistake prone" player as I had no decent alternative to partner up with Iniesta as Xavi broke his ******* leg. AND I PAID £79M for him after selling Sergio B. (I didn't need a DM)
