This thread is simply for ROCK SONGS.

NO soft rock, indie or pop rock.

Post your favourite songs from youtube; the studio version and the best live version so we can tell how good the band really are.

So these are the rules, now let the posting begin!

My first post in this thread is from my favourite band around at the moment, Alter Bridge.
Scott Phillips, Brian Marshall and Mark Tremonti all formerly of creed, a band which I absolutely hate, come together as Alter Bridge with guitarist/Lead vocalist Myles Kennedy to create a sound completely different to the **** from their former band.

The song Blackbird is the perfect demonstration of the artistic brilliance of Alter Bridge in comparison with Creed. Tremonti, Phillips and Marshall play in a way that the radio rock of creed simply did not allow them to and it is a magnificent epic of a song.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Would this fit into Rock music?

Some Slipknott I would consider acceptable metal, altough I much prefer stone sour.

Duality is a cool song though.

Have actually just changed the rules, my main aim for this thread was to have no soft rock or indie etc. so we real rock fans could have somewhere of our own on here so those are the new rules, So yeah Slipknott counts! :D

I have way too man, so I'll just post a few I'm really into right now.

Legends of groove metal. My favorite Pantera song. Even above other stalwarts like Walk or CFH.

This band made me start playing the guitar and probably the best song from their last album IMO.

Crazy awesome song. Played with the Low e dropped to A. Pretty **** heavy for Muse.

^
way above me, Alter Bridge is ******* awesome. Myles Kennedy is amazing.

At the Drive In - One Armed Scissor. Their earlier stuff is probably better, but this encapsulates the band perfectly. Their albums are worth a listen...

Man this is a tough one
My first just favourite rock song is GnR - Civil War, Slash plays some fantastic guitarist and the power of Axl's voice just cuts right through me [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9VhD4SccSE"]YouTube - Guns N' Roses - Civil War (Music Video)[/ame]

A band i've seen live, AC/DC, it's as good as some of the oldies but they opened with it at Download last year and while not as strong an opener as Thunderstruck in 91 it's still just amazing

This is much further back that I was, I was next to the walkway about 50 meters from the stage. His voice sounds much worse on video than it did there too.
