I had a good moment in my first season with Villa.

Uefa cup quarter final I was drawn against Valencia. First game at home. My plan was to keep it tight at VP and not concede against the likes of Villa, Silva etc, possibly nick a goal to take a lead to the mestalla and defend like trojans there.

Didnt work! David Silva scored aft 20 odd minutes, so I had to move to plan B already. I went on the attack looking for goals but sadly the game ended 0-1.

I went into the second leg thinking I need to throw everything at them from the off and just get an away goal to have a glimmer of hope.

This time it worked! Gabby Agbonlahor raced onto a great through ball from Barry and made it 1-0 after 15 minutes. It stayed that way till half time. 5 minutes into the second half that man again, David Silva prodded the ball home. At this point i honestly thought it was over, I thouhght they would be too strong.

Gabby scored another 2 on the break completed his hat-trick and we won 3-1 (3-2) I went on to lose narrowly to Barca in the semis. But this was a massive boost for the team.

Three funny moments more to the list, though one can be frustration:

- Winger is taking the ball up, half a meter from the sideline. The defender tackles and the ball is sent for a throw-in. Text then says striker is asking a penalty... but that his defender was deemed to have played the ball. Ball that obviously was dozens of yards away.

- There is a long ball for my striker, the goalie has to run off the area to kick it away. The goalie arrives when my striker is almost there, and he kicks it into my striker's chest, bouncing behind waiting the striker to reach it and push it into goal. Instead of the message saying "striker has the goal at his mercy" or something along the lines of goalie mistake, it reads "goalie kicks the danger away".

- And the one which is frustration is this one. Midfielder intercepts a pass and immediately sends a long ball to my striker. My striker receives between two defenders which are like five meters right and left from him. He is fast so you may well consider him alone and in the best situation I saw in the whole match to run with the ball for a one on one against the goalie... Then he kicks the ball aimlessly forward. Text: "striker kicks the ball out of danger". AAAAAAAHHHH I want a 500lb sledgehammer and the striker's head. lol

Beating Liverpool 4-0 with my created team and seeing Benitez get sacked straight after. Or Signing Phil Jagielka (H)

Saddest moment was beating Everton in the UEFA Cup final :'(

Haha, I enjoyed reading that, sound's like a quality match. Did you save the replay!?

I did, but that is on my laptop, which I don't really use unless I am travelling. Yes, it was a brilliant game, especially for Kadlec, the next season, ended up starting a lot of games...

Im with Aston Villa, second season first game, playing Arsnel at home i go 3-0 down at half time...... tell my players i want nothing more then a win, Bendtner (who i signed from Arsnel a season ago) scores 2 goals and Barry scores one.... 3-3 with extra time to go, Who eles but Bendtner scores another goal shame it was an own goal tho..... final score 4-3 to Arsnel :) i was happy becuase my team came back from 3-0 down

I've just beaten Rushden with Bognor in the Second Round replay of the FA Cup. 0-0 first match (I should have won), 1-1 second match (I should just have shaded it) and won 4-2 on penalties. Second BSP team I've knocked out with BSS Bognor this season and now I've got a lovely away match against the Premier League's Baggies to look forward to. I hope those Baggies turn out in force to watch it - the money will be lovely :D

Nice one Zebedee, I'd be chuffed if I managed that... what non-league managers dream of!

It's still a game month away (4 more league matches before it now) so will be a while before I play them... but I'm guesstimating around 360k from my split of the gate receipts if it's a sell-out. For a club whose wage bill is 10k a month and gets 5k a year from sponsorship, that's quite a gold mine. :D

Got to say that I am exceptionally happy about getting to the 3rd round although it's really hitting my league form hard. Squad just hasn't the quality in depth to maintain a push for the play-offs and still be in 3 cup competitions in the middle of December.

Mine was when I beated Man Utd on Old Trafford with Man City, lol.
It was 2-0 for us, Tevez scored for 2-1, Robinho scored for 3-1, Ronaldo for 3-2, Ronaldo for 3-3 and Santa Cruz closed the goal table with a great finish from 30 meters!

Man Utd 3-4 Man City
At the finish of the season, Man Utd lost the league, Chelsea won it and me past Arsenal and finished 4th.

Will be good to see you do well out of it anyway mate.

However, I had a similar thought a few seasons ago in my game...

Bearing in mind that I'm FC Gute (lowest division in Sweden) with a wage bill of £3k per week and sponsorship of about £6k per year, I was drawn against cup giants Malmo FF in the 2nd round of the Swedish Cup, albeit at home. I checked their average attendances, which were up around 20,000 with ~15,000 season ticket holders. I thought "I'm gonna be in the money here" and fillout my 1,700 stadium - an extra few grand to spend I thought. Anyway, the game came (and went - I lost 1:2!), and the attendance was about 269! Even less than a 2nd division league game! And what makes it worse is that I've never seen any Swedish Cup games acheive a TV showing.. not even the Final!

Anyway, good luck all the same mate, and let us know how you go on. :)

Ouch! That really is bad. Sometimes I do think the game doesn't take into account the travelling support bigger teams will often bring.

I got thrashed 6-0 by West Brom. 2-0 down at half-time, and after that things got a little crazy - really put the fitness levels of my team into perspective as that was the main cause of the defeat. Most of my players were exhausted by half-time, and that from 95% condition minimum!

I got £326000 in gate receipts from the game, taxman got £42000 of that money, but Bognor's finances are now exceptionally healthy with a bank balance of £200k. Hopefully some of that will get released to me next season... Still got the quarter-finals of the Setanta Shield to look forward to and am now only 3 points off the play-off places. So it might be a good end to the season yet :D

So, luckily in a game I won and I was already ahead, I had this freekick. My taker takes run and when he's about to hit the ball, ******* teammate has no better idea than run in front, so when the ball was going to fly to goal (as seen by text below a bit later) it instead hit the ******* and rebounded back.

The team talk at the end should have an option in the player dropdown that read "kick player in the balls".

when i was 3rd place with croatia in world cup

i played against france and they had 20+ chances and then in 85th minute modric scored with header in front of goal:D

aah man I just started to play my first friendly. thought it was time for a totally diferent tactic schedule. i've been managing barca for the last 3 years. made a totally diferent tactic schedule, nothing like what i used to do. after 6 minutes and 30 seconds my midfielder David Ferrer has made 3 goals, against Ajax, whom are doing quite good in Holland (in 2031). All 3 goals were perfect examples from how i thought i was gonna make goals (only 3rd was a penal but i got it after a magnificant attack).

Yeovil, League 2. Last day I need to win by 3+ and the teams to lose above me so I could get the 7th relegation playoff. Got it, then won the semi and final play off and got promoted and got 15th in League 1 the next season

Got a 16k transfer budget with Bognor :D And wages are now up to 3.9k per week. Happy days before the third season starts!

Have you finished the sec ond season. if so how did you do in the cups and did you get promoted:D

Hey Marshy same here.

Just won World Cup 2010 (With England), all because of my clever substitution Gerrard off for lampard. I was losing to Portugual 1-0 then just before the brake A.Smth Scored. Then secong half Owen scoerd:D (Rooney injured with terry before match :(.) then they score 87 min :(:(:(. Then i take Gerrad off for Lampard then the ref adds on 3 minutes in the world cup final i was few seconds away from extra time then LAMPARD STRIKES ONE IN. Then they kick off and the ref blows :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
We then top world rankings and win world cup first time in 43 years :):):):):):):):)
