I just like Wesley Sneijder. My kinda player.

That said, Schweinsteiger is getting to be totally awesome, definitely world class despite all of the naysayers, who are the same to say ZOMGZ XAVI INIESTA MESSI!!!1111!!

I hope your ok after your obvious fit at the end of your post.

For me it has to be Messi, look at what he did for Barca this season, he single handedly destroyed Arsenal in the champions league at the Nou Camp.

sneidjer, just awesome in his role, long time massive fan and he has shown exactly why madrid should have kept him

No Christiano Ronaldo to even select? I've had to go "other" purely out of not being able to consider him.

Messi flatters to deceive IMO and the others in the list are there (understandably) off the back of good showings in the world cup. With that in mind though why no Thomas Mueller?

Also, one month does not make or break a player so there are plenty more players who weren't at or didnt perform at the world cup who maybe are deserving of mention eg Drogba

messi flatters to decieve?!, have you watched barcelona this season? and every player in that list, bar kaka has had a very good season

I think Messi does flatter to deceive, it pains me to do so because so many top players failed but, to use the World Cup as an example Messi did not live up to expectations. Messi is definitely 'up there' and his showing against Arsenal properly showed me up in front of my mates but it is typical Barca bias where people wax lyrical about players who are hyped above their station - Yaya Toure perhaps?

I fully admit to having Premier League bias and I do believe that if English teams played with more confidence then the Champions League trophy would never touch mainland Europe. With that in mind if Messi comes to the Premier League I'd be as excited as anyone to see if he truly is the best in the world.

Realistically though, thats not going to happen. Barca have just won the world cup and Real Madrid will break the bank to be competitive. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong but I still put the Premier League above La Liga and I think Messi would not dominate as easily in a more competitive league.

not true at all when comes to england teams in europe, they play with plently of confidence. messi had a better world cup than ronaldo for a start yet you would vote for him, hes certainly had the better season. messi would do just as well over here. he gets kicked all over the shop in la liga, and it doesnt stop him. the top english teams are as good as the top teams on the contintent, but in no way are they superior to them. superstar players still rely on the rest of their team, and messi didnt have a midfield to work off, and was still pretty good, certainly better than ronaldo, kaka, rooney, drogba, torres

Fair enough, we'll agree to disagree.

Just listen to the commentators when Messi plays though, almost every game includes the following quote.

'Oh look he is human after all'

lol yes, but thats because the commentators are morons. same with the bbc pundits like lineker at al. hes amazing, but not some demi god like they make him out to be

Still has to be Messi. I thought he had a really good World Cup up to the Germany game.

But Xavi and Iniesta together is both unstoppable and beautiful to watch.

based on wold cup performance?
in this order Özil, Müller, and Forlan...only people to talk mess are the ones that jump on the band wagon and cannot make up their own minds. i mean come on Messi? in the world cup against germany he was a total flop, Forlan was a bigger threat to them.

özil for his close ball hanling skills hes an amazing playmaker, muller for his goals obviously, and forlan for his team being an undedog and making it farther than england....LOL

Coentrão. Because he went from John Doe to 'i want that kid', because he learned how to play a completely new position in something like half an year or so, because he is mind and soul in the game, because he sweats untill he dehydrates in the field, because he attacks and defends equally good, because he made Maicon look like Leandro Grimi, because he loves Benfica and Benfica loves him. Plus, there aren't much good LB's around the world nowadays, at least not ones who can really make a difference like Fabio.

Is this according World Cup performance or...?

If so, I would pick Diego Forlán.
And I don't know what are Rooney and Kaka doing on that list then.
Missing Müller too...

I really think Sergio Busquests is never given a mention,he always plays a pivotal role in any team but his contribution is always not mentioned or said........He always seems to be avaliable for a pass,he kept Sneijer quit in the WC Finals to name just a few of what he offers to a Team
