Hoffenheim just got past the half way point of the season, sitting pretty at the top of the table (just about, after managing to pull of draws against most of the good teams), though got knocked out early in the cup...

Lots of work in the 2 transfer windows (with lots of morgaging the club for the future with several purchases invoving large fees following appearances, the idea being that if i get the team i needed i wont have to spend as much in the future and therefore make a saving of sorts...) has resulted in the following (playing a 41122 formation)

Funded by selling lots and lots of players, including very promising younsters Carlos Eduardo, Demba Ba, Wellington and Chinendu Obasi for good money (great players for the future, but I wanted the Marquinhos/Keirrison combination) as well as squad players like Per Nilsson and Iberstberger.

So will be interesting to see next season when appearance fees are due. At least will not be needing any more attackers (and possibly midfielders) for the forseeable future and will just need a new keeper and a defender or two.

Sejad Salihovic is my top scorer atm, love this kid :)

Vicente---4.3m. I thought Damien Duff just wasn't good enough and I had to buy a new winger. He's good and was transfer listed.
Victor Pálsson---325k. When I took a look at the reserve and u18s team I didn't find any future players. I've never bought him but he's an okay player and from Iceland, just like me, so I gave him a chance.
Oswaldo Sanchez---1.7m. I simply was never going to achieve anything with Harper in the goal.
Mahamadou Diarra---Ln Fee: 1.3m. A very good midfielder, probably my best one, and I can buy him for 4.6m when i want.
Javier Saviola---Ln Fee: 700k. I needed options up front and he was tranfer listed. Loan Clause: 2.8m
Benni McCarthy---5m. A good striker and probably the best one I could afford.

Players Sold:
Peter Lövenkrands---Loan(Watford). I was never going to use him so i might as well loan him out. Tried to sell him first but no-one wanted him.
Steve Harper---3.2m(Barcelona). When I got Sanchez i would have accepted almost any offer.
Nicky ****---Loan. Ln Fee: 180k(Fulham). Too old and slow. Loan Clause: 875k
Geremi---3.2m(Bolton). 3.2m for a player on the bench. I needed money and couldn't say no.
?Damien Duff---Is considering contracts from Blackburn(3.8m+clauses) and West Brom(3.2m)

RB: maicon or zanetti (zanetti-cicnho made a **** of a partnership down the flank)
LB: Sylvain armand (the best defending left back in fm :) (maxwell)
CB: phillipe mexes (sold samuel for 26 M coz he was getting too many cards) also veloso plays very well in this position after slight retraining
CB:Ivan cordoba (thinking about zapata as long term replcement) and i hav andrea mei who's a great future prospect
AML: franck ribery (i paid 75 M for him and he's soo awful now i had to get petrov from city and he's performing much better than ribery)
MR: cicinho (all of a sudden he got mad coz i subbed him,now i switched to obinna on AMR instead of MR)
DM:Miguel Veloso (Thiago motta or muntari) and blozoni who's a wonderful youngster
MC: Elano ( bought junninho bernambucano in winter bcoz my sub (moutinho is injured) - am dreaming day and night about wesley sneijder for this slot,hope i can get him nxt season
AM: carlos vela as a shadow striker on the right (also got van persie who sucked!)
ST: mario ballotelli (the best ever) and Ibra

btw my U20 team is also leading the charts after i hav strengthened it with some talents like eden hazard and ignacio camacho together with the likes of santon and mei, they play tha cup matches for me and are a good future base for the team. to help the U20 team with some experties i sent the not needed oldies whom i couldn't sell (cruz,daccourt,figo and toldo) to play with them and it's quite rewarding :)

just get rid of some of ur older players and promote hazard, camacho, santon and mei. not sure if ur squad can be improved tht much! :)
 
This is my team start of my 3rd season with Liverpool, came 5th in my first season, 1st in my second season. Just signed Henry as back up for Torres afetr getting owen on a free and selling him off for £7.5m
 
i went newcastle because i was getting annoyed at why they always got relegated even though they have a fairly decent squad. i tweaked it here and there and at christmas im second on goal difference -
