Will a young player develop quicker playing about 30 times in the u19 league or say 7-10 starts in the first team squad a year?

I find playing them 10-18 games a year develops them well. I did that with,
- Conor Clifford
- Jacob Mellis
- Josh McEachran
- Patrick van Aanholt

and now they are all contenders for first 11.

[season 2012].

always better to give them the challenge of first team action. If they good enough, they old enough. They get to train and play with better players, and where they are the star player in the reserves, they wont be with the first team, so they will have to sink or swim (having good determination).
