A little background first. I'm coaching Cesena & from Season 1 I adopted a long-term youth strategy. This meant that my results in Season 1 & 2 were not spectacular, but during those years my Youth Squad won the youth league convincingly. In Season 3 I decided to loan many of those players (especially the talented ones) to feeder clubs in Serie C. As a result my Youth team is struggling towards the bottom of the league. Did I do the right thing? Is it better for youths to win at my youth team or get real experience in Serie C & sacrifice the youth league, as apparently nothing really is gained by winning it....
