Iv been testing zonal loose marking with 4-4-2 and had mixed results with it. I have found with tight marking, players tend to get turned and caught flat footed often.
With the loose marking they hold the shape better but again at times get ruined with through balls.
So my question has anyone used loose zonal marking for a tight 4-4-2 rigid keeping the shape, making it hard to get clean through.
If so how have you achieved this, any views would be great as I am struggling to get the 4-4-2 tight.
