I would say a 4-3-2-1 is your best bet for the primary formation, 4-4-2 and 4-1-2-1-2 are good secondary formations (the latter because some smaller clubs in the premier league tend to have narrower pitches, that could help you out a lot when going for a win against teams like stoke etc)
