I'm trying to sign Berardi at the start of the game and having nothing but problems. Juve want £32 million for 50% of the player! has anyone signed him and if so, how much did you pay for him?

Silva has failed a work permit application :( and the appeal was turned down, even though my coach says he's 'likely to be accepted on appeal'. Is there any point re-agreeing a fee with the club and trying again? Or will it just get turned again?

Had an offer accepted for Jonathan Silva. Seems to tick the right boxes. Youngish and relatively cheap. Both Luke Shaw and de Sciglio were out of my price range. So too was Zouma unfortunately :(

Coentrao has been transfer listed by arsenal and would certainly do a good job but he's 27 - I prefer to sign younger players - and they want ?10 million for him.... i'll definitely have a look at the list above as well though.

So I somehow managed to get my West Ham team into the CL after the second season but now I desperately need a new left back and a central defender. I'm already tapping up Kurt Zouma as my CD but have no idea who to get for my left back. Any ideas would be great.

At the start of the game he's agreed a contract with Anderlecht and so won't join any other clubs. You can either pay massive like someone did above or wait until the start of the second season as I did and pay ?10.5 million with add-ons. Managed to get him scoring more now as well. Happy hammer!

I can't seem to get him scoring in my west ham team. I okay him is a TM attack mainly on his own but sometimes alongside a poacher. Did you guys find he starting scoring straight away or did it take him a little while to settle?

I've just spent that last hour tinkering with the training screen so I feel a bit better. I also read TheBetterHalf's guide in the FM13 forums but I still have a quick question. Some of my players are complaining of a high workload. Is there a summary screen anywhere that shows training levels...

No custom training schedules then? Boo! That'll explain why I can't seem to find any info on the new training set-up. It'll be under FM13 not 14!
