I've spent over three seasons chasing a player who is valued at £17m. Each time I get quoted £80m plus as an acceptable fee, which I obviously turn down.
Now, Man City have waded in with a meagre £27.5m, so I match the bid. His stupid club have accepted it! Weeks after turning down over £50m!!!
Just played my 1000th game as Torquay manager. Rose from the BSP and been in the prem around 10 seasons. Two titles and 5 league cups, plus a few losing finals in the FA and Champs league.
Pretty similar to me. Plus he's at man utd and I'm at Torquay. I've won two leagues and 5 league cups plus other major finals. He's on 1900000 whilst I'm around 100k behind him
I've played the full version as well, but fancied trying to speed through the game a bit quicker as its too time consuming in the full game at first. Now I'm craving for more options, but would hate to have to start again after putting so much time in on my classic save. One question though, is...
Having spent 18 enjoyable seasons in classic mode, born from the desire to fly through the game pretty quickly, I now feel the need to play the full version of the game. Just wish it were possible to upgrade my classic save to the full game. Maybe an idea for the future?
I've had around 30 attempted takeovers and all have pulled out. The club has been skint and in profit at various times so I don't know what will enable it to happen.

I just did a system restore and took it back a couple of days.
I then ran FM and started my last saved game. After a few minutes I felt a sense of déjà vu. I checked the league history and I was about 6 months behind where I was.
