I think the fun part actually becomes the players, you kinda win everything all the time so that gets boring but seeing a 15 year old kid you paid £500k for become the best player in the world is worth it, again maybe that's why I get sentimental about them!
I know it's just a game (ok, it's not really :) ) but does anyone else get sentimental over players? At Real Madrid I didn't care when Ronaldo etc retired but my first set of regens I trained from 16 are now 33/34 years old and if I'm honest I'm not sure the game will feel the same without them...
I'll be honest I'm having a similar problem, most of my interceptions seem to be in my own half, but it could be due to you having more possession so the opposition play it long quickly, therefore not giving you the chance to win it back high up the pitch?#
Set your defensive line high and have...
It's rare, but in my first season at Barca I was unbeaten after 29 games in the league, played Arsenal (I was at home) and they beat me 6-2, bearing in mind we had only conceded 15 goals in the league...
I remember seeing it a lot on the FM from a few years ago, you'd win 5-1 away and then lose...
In real life, your chance of finding young English players that can play like that is 0...but on FM yes you need good U19 coaches, a good scouting network and head of youth development.
I find good clubs tend to get better regens anyway but I think your scouting network/knowledge probably has...
Yeah I know, I was trying to create a tactic with a Libero and ended up with this!
Still I was really trying to get at the fact that I only have 2 attacking players, everyone else is either in support or defensive!
I only ask as I haven't, I tried at Barcelona with Busquets in the role, and he played all right, but he was just acting as a 3rd central defender even as an attacking Libero!
Having just checked though Busquets 'stays back at all times' maybe the worst choice for Libero...
In the end I have...
First of that's a really attacking formation, I remember someone saying you shouldn't have more attacking players than defensive/supporting, maybe try dropping a striker back to DM and having your full backs defend (they still get forward a lot, oddly)
I'm at Barca so it's difficult to suggest...
Yeah but at xmas (in real life) he came out and said the league was over!
There do seem to be a lot of 'stock' answers, l'd like to be able to reply with 'are you an idiot we'd have lose 7 games out of 13 just for them to pull level! or something similar :)
Remember in real life some players do play better Internationally than domestically (i.e every English player...:)
He is a good player but still very young to be up front on his own, I'd just carry on, as long as he isn't playing badly and he will start banging them in soon!
Also even the best...
First off how good is the rest of your team and how ell are you doing? Have you used the same tactics for years without changing or have you changed them recently?
Also he is pretty young, and going from an off the bench first season to regular first choice striker would be hard for a real life...
The only reason I ask as I am managing Barcelona, 25 games into the season and I am unbeaten on 69 points, Athletic 2nd on 51 points and Real Madrid 3rd on 49 points.
Mourinho in a press statement says 'Barcelona really don't look like title contenders to me', so my question, is there a...
