All I can give you is my experience from the lower levels and it is all just doing the leg work. I dont research wonderkid names or anything. But what I do look for is the basics that give me the best chance of having strong investements on young players:
(1) Have a proper scout who can have...

Haven't tried the Russian league yet. Probably because I am just not knowledgable enough about it, and have a hard enough time with the game :) Doesn't help I'm too hard on myself with these self-inflicted rules of conduct, lol.

Good stuff. I agree on the feeling of...
^^ guilty conscious. Maybe you missed the part where I stated I'm not passing any moral judgment on anyone who uses such items. I just noted that the genies, wonderkid lists, and replays ARE used by a section of players, and thus their advice becomes a bit tainted for MY purposes in regards to...
I have no direct experience as I always play for low-level clubs, but wouldn't it make sense that you can't? A club would not wait around without a leader part of a season. It would kill morale for both clubs, right?
So my guess would be that you can't delay.
I was wondering because, thanks to living in the third-world and being paid in USD (and having a real addiction for statistics and tactics :D ) I have a lot of time to really try hard to succeed in the game.
One thing I notice, however, that a lot of advice given is tainted for one of three...
That's why I said "feel", and not "I have proof! :) But honestly, the fact that my club can go 5 straight and I can predict injury after 7 solid matches or a run of 5-straight points to at least some form of calculation to "even the playing field" when a player is figuring out a system that...
Been Oxford for 5 seasons now. I work **** hard to figure all the capabilities /possibilities for the team regarding players. I even figure in personalities, footing, current form and potential blah blah. I don't use wonderkids or genies of any type. I have alternate-saves for testing theories i...
Explain what? Exploit was a failure anyway, and it was used out of the sheer need for a win after a 10-match slide near the end of the first season. Like someone else said up-top (and what I knew anyway) is that other tactics don't work if you're a low-league team that can't utilize them like an...
There's the club. As you can see, some injuries. I actually won a match against the only other team worst than me, Stevenage, who has yet to gain a single point in the season. Still, as you can see, too many mistakes on the defense. It doesn't help that two of my main scorers are now hurt...
I have tried everything, so now I'm just coming here:
I managed Oxford United. Season one I started out 17-3-1, with a 4-5-1 system (standard look as you see often on here with 4 defenders, a DM, 2CM, 2 wide AMs and a striker). Suddenly, I fell into a slump after being forced to trade one...
No club ever, apparently.... over 3 years of playing the game. It's the one thing I've never figured out. It's why I just like to build clubs and then leave. So frustrated though.
90% of the time I'm favorite to win, I lose. Every time I'm considered a huge underdog I win. Any time I'm considered on par and nothing is on the line I win, if something is on the line I'm destroyed.
WTF AM I DOING WRONG!!! >:(
