NOTICE: THIS IS NOT A TRUE TO LIFE DATABASE, MORE INFO BELOW!
Like I'm saying, this database is not true to life. The KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association) has put into motion the plans to change the structure of all football from the th tier (Now irl Hoofdklasse) down to the very bottom. Leagues are removed, renamed, redrawn, and overhauled completely. And on top of that they are going to be removing multiple sub-divisions every single year for the next 3 years. This is not doable to create within the pre-game editor, and as such I have opted to make my own version of what the KNVB has planned to be the league system in 3-4 years time.
The league structure within this database is as follows:
Eredivisie / 18 Teams
Keuken Kampioen Divisie / 20 Teams
Tweede Divisie / 18 Teams
Derde Divisie / 2 sub-divisions of 18 teams each / 36 Teams
Vierde Divisie / 4 sub-divisions of 16 teams each / 64 Teams
Eerste Klasse / 8 sub-divisions of 14 teams each / 112 Teams
Tweede Klasse / 16 sub-divisions of 14 teams each / 224 Teams
Derde Klasse / 32 sub-divisions of 14 teams each / 448 Teams
To make the league structure more interesting for long term saves I have opted to give out TV money and prize money to teams in the Tweede and Derde Divisie respectively, albeit at a far lower rate than the Eredivisie or KKD.
P.S.: As I have completely removed every single division from the Eerste Klasse and below and manually added every single one of them there are no league history rules. Teams have also been sorted into the leagues entirely on reputation alone.
P.P.S.: This database does NOT contain any of the 'Jong' teams, which will never appear in ANY of my databases ever.
